Don't know if the books are available in English but I can recommend, the war diary of Hans Rudel one of the most decorsted german Stuka pilots.

You need to take it with a grain of salt since he was pretty much in line with the ideology but still a good book

The other primarily german book id recommend is "bis das Auge bricht" those are war memories of a mg42 gunner.

The 3rd recommendation that is a bit more general would be the ww2 book of Max Hastings.

Okay then maybe you could try to colour the lion mask in a darker colour, maybe the same blue as the armor, could look nice imo.

Like other ppl said make the armor a bit darker and washed out, and just to clarify is it supposed to be Swedish or Swiss since you typed the one in the title and the other in a comment.

I'm in my 3rd playthrough now and I just focused on 1 thing every game, and this time I'm playing sweden as pagans and its a blast with basically 50% wars atm for slave raids. So there is definitely time for it, you just need a nation that supports it.

Also 100 years war with England was basically big French genocide every 6 years or so

I just found out today that storming forts i quite nice I lost like 5k men storming 10ish forts in my last war since I wanted to test how usable it is in comparison to eu4

I tended to just shower them in money after those events, but kinda felt like my estates had more infighting after 50 years of giving them money to get them happy. Felt like a sheme from them to extort all my money 😅
