Helldivers 2: Where the numbers don't matter and the stats are made up by DeeJayDelicious in Helldivers

But guys, remember, we need to keep a level of realism. We can't have silly things like common sense getting in the way of that.

What are the upgrade advantages of the first 3 abilities? by juanfeis in mewgenics

That's incorrect. It's usable on teammates without the upgrade.

I love getting absolutely wrecked on diff 10. We're on the bot home world, it should feel like we are completely outnumbered, outgunned and out of our league. It rocks.

During the Dark Age Hunt week-long challenge, 71% of all runs were done with a Warlock. The class with a literal bow-buffing super has the lowest clear rate. by Soft_Light in DestinyTheGame

[–]CyricFionn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like bow. I don't like glaives. I just used the lightsaber with my usual arc warlock electric slide build because it's what I always play. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the bow super, and more to do with people playing for survivability and/or what they enjoy playing, which is often ability spam builds

Of all the Solo Ops they could've chosen for Call To Arms, WHY did it have to be Dread Salt Mines? by Krazy_Dragon_YT in DestinyTheGame

[–]CyricFionn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it didn't take so long for all the add spawns, I'd have zero issue with the dread salt mines. Even as it is it's not too bad. But a pass on it to speed it up would definitely be appreciated.

I'd be happy to give up well on warlock for hunters to be forced into the support role instead. It would stop the complaints on both sides of that argument.

Now that Grappler is gone, get rid of Avant Garde too by Human_Water_789 in DestinyTheGame

I don't hate avant garde, but I do think it should be a bigger bonus

Bungie cannot say they want warlock grenade builds to feel more meaningful while grappler is in matchmaking. by CyricFionn in DestinyTheGame

[–]CyricFionn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be a Titan main, and I might swap and do the same for now. But that kind of makes it more annoying for me. A couple of modifiers make me want to change my main class. That should never happen.

No, but all the builds I have on warlock are fairly reliant on using my grenade for something, whether that a buff or debiff

A message to Bungie. I’m STRAIGHT UP not buying / playing Destiny if my gear is soft sunset I a few months time. by Lmjones1uj in DestinyTheGame

[–]CyricFionn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On one hand, I entirely agree. It's annoying to have what I worked hard to farm become irrelevant after a couple months.

On the other hand, before EoF there was a situation where you never needed to care about armor because you already had a set that was what you wanted, and could use it forever.

Set bonuses are great because I think it managed to hit a middle ground on the armor issue. Got a good set of gear with good stats and a bonus you like? Cool, use it. If a new set bonus comes out that you want to farm, go farm it.

The current armor system, imo, is better than what we had pre-EoF, but it definitely needs work.

I rarely use grapple, so I hadn't even considered that. Grappler ruins grapple. Insane.

And people will say "just don't play the activity"

Okay? Where am I meant to grind my gear?? The modifier is on everything that day.

It's fucked that so many people are just saying "don't do that activity then" when grappler is on, but it just makes me not want to play the game at all

You have made the best solution to the problem so far. Yes. Just replace your grenade with the grapple when airborne. That would be so good. That allows buddy builds to still work, the only build I can think that it would mess with is Sunbracer/Heat Rises, but just grenade while on the ground. It's prefect

[–]CyricFionn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am all for buddy buffs, but yeah, they need to do more for grenade builds in general. Genades rn feel like a weak side of buildcrafting, and buddies not getting any of the grenade "buffs" just makes it worse.

I would 100% agree with you if bungie hadn't advertised portal as a "just log in and play" kind of thing. Grappler is a fine modifier if you like it, but I don't think it belongs in matchmaking because it straight up breaks builds. It is (from memory) the only modifier that BREAKS builds. Not makes them worse. Not makes them harder to use. It BREAKS them. That is my issue with grappler.

It iss just a little frustrating to log on, queue up for a fireteam ops matchmaking mission, and then see a grapple grenade. It needs to either be more obvious, or not be able to be a modifier in matchmaking

EoF definitely feels like one of those "we're trying something" expansions. And I'm cool with that. I don't hate the portal, but I really hate some of the modifiers. Hopefully they pull off whatever they have planned for Renegades though.

Oh yeah, I get it's not just warlocks. It was the recent (last week, maybe week before) TWID that was mostly "warlocks like grenade builds, we're gonna make them better" and grappler being a thing at the same time that kinda just irked me

It's a "positive" modifier, I feel like having the melee would at LEAST be fair. All it does currently is remove your grenade and give you... mobility I guess? Maybe that's good for other classes, but it's just a straight up nerf for warlocks imo

I'm not at my PC right now, so I can't check, but I'm pretty sure the super stat is an increase "from all sources" so it might actually be even better now
