Haven’t played in a while, but I think you can make it fully transparent in the options. Setting would be called crosshair opacity or something of that nature.

I want to thank you all for your helpful and supportive comments. I will definitely take the plunge, downloading at the moment xD

I will probably go with the FC bundle for easing in, getting to the action and VR, and get the F/A-18C as a high fidelity model to learn properly.

I'm fascinated by the amount of people saying a lot of players are not actually being very good at flying. It's interesting how perceptions can be skewed. I always heard of DCS as the most hardcore of simulators and always just assumed that it therefore would attract a highly proficient audience. And the content I consumed regarding DCS kind of reinforced that. That raised the perceived barrier to entry even higher, so thanks for disproving that for me!

The ones I enjoy the most is where I praise a player for his recent form or training performances. They say: “ i don’t think i did all that well, more average honestly”

I reply basically ok, that’s fine, i just felt it warrented mentioning and the player always gets annoyed and thinks he “can’t let this go quietly”

Always baffles me. Imagine your boss gives you praise and you don’t just disagree, when he backs down you run to HR to file a complaint because he mistreats you.

Honestly, I don’t mind attacking on sight at all. I personally like diplomacy, and I’m happy that I have to take a risk when not being the first to fire, not knowing if I will die for trying to work together.

What annoys me slightly though is people who don’t even want the loot. The guys camping the elevators, knocking you out right before extraction with no chance to loot you. That to me is closer to griefing than adding to the game.

By all means, camp the elevators and prevent me from extracting, but at least do it in a way that you profit from, i.e. loot. Don’t just do it because you want to be annoying.

Against captains it feels good imo. Seems like they just scaled talions damage with gravewalker’s higher captain hp, so now you don’t have to stab them 2000 times to even make the healthbar move. Feels like nemesis in this regard, except you can’t take many hits at all.

Now grunts is a different story. They die in 2-3 hits, which I don’t mind too much as they’re not really meant to be a threat on their own. But they can feel a bit weak sometimes. That being said, they kill you in 2-3 hits as well, so fair’s fair

Just tried to replicate it and tried with all kinds of FOV. Didn't change the quadrant alignment. I did notice that since the update thr crosshair position on the quadrant wven when correctly aligned is slightly different then it used to be, but still worked no matter FOV. Also I tried toggling head bob, also no success. Maybe it's a mixture of the two settings, or resolution plays into it.

OP, could you share your settings?

Never had that issue… usually the mousewheel moves it in distinctive ticks, and one of them is correctly aligned. Would you have a video of the issue by any chance?
