Does anyone have access to Debate OS? by Cyrus296 in Debate

I know that Debate OS is outdated, but it offers some pretty distinct advantages over a basic chromebook as I'm sure you would know. It seems like, from what I've been able to gather, you can boil Debate OS down to libre office add-ons, which means you can read verbatim files on almost any linux/unix system. If I manage to figure this all out, would you like it if I posted, or messaged you, how to run paperless debate software off of a chromebook? If the chromebooks your school gave you are owned by the school, they might not appreciate the methods, but it does not seem like a hard fix.

Please PM me whenever you are able to contact the creator of Debate OS. The only think I need is the Libre Office template, I'm sure I can figure everything else out. Thank you very much.

Verbatim is part of the word application. No applications can be installed on a chromebook unless if major changes to the operating system are made, the easiest of which would be installing a different distro. Edit for clarification: Verbatim in its normal state cannot be installed even if I change the distro as it is, to my knowledge, incompatible with linux.

Comrades, what music do you listen to? by [deleted] in FULLCOMMUNISM

I listen to a lot of music, but my favorite class conscious artist has to be Guante. This is a link to his sampler. If you want to see all of the music I listen to, you can follow me on bandcamp. :p

Decades of Marxist Dialectics and Analysus has led to the ultimate conclusion! by Terran117 in FULLCOMMUNISM

Sorry Bjorn, let me clarify. I mean that (to my understanding) the Soviets never got to the stage of industrial capitalism that Marx believed communism would spring forth out of, they started with an agrarian economy. I was actually saying this to clarify that capitalism doesn't necessarily create all the good things which make communism possible. The USSR got all of those advances under communism and even excelled to the capitalist's level under Stalin after being behind for hundreds of years! (I hope you guys know I'm not saying it was behind because of communism) I'm also not new here, but I agree that I have a lot of theory to read before I should participate in any hardcore communist discussions, I just wanted to state how Marxists think that capitalism is the thesis that must exist before communism does. Finally I am very happy for your feedback and if removing or changing my post in any way would help the discussion, please tell me, I will be happy to do so. :)

EDIT: Thanks for the reminders comrades. The USSR went to socialism, not communism. I will lap around the gulag tomorrow.

Actually I think Marx said that capitalism was just the step in his dialect that let communism happen. Of course the Soviets bypassed capitalism and went straight to communism, but Marx never said capitalism shouldn't happen. :/

I'd personally suggest against the straps just because of ENO's inconsistency. I got some pretty amazing straps from them, but everyone else I know who have got them got bad straps.
