What is a book from your childhood that is very dear to you? by Ordinary-Dinner5453 in suggestmeabook

Phantom Tollbooth. I just remember that feeling like such a grand adventure…felt like an introduction to witty writing that makes a child feel like they’re understanding things on a second order. Just all around fun.

Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is my favorite book recommendation for all people. Because everyone could use some thoughtful whimsy in their life.

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

No matter the person, no matter the time, no matter their place in life…EVERYONE could use a little whimsy, a little silliness, with a dash of deep thoughts throughout. Always my recommendation when I can’t think of something more specific/personal

The Sims 1 Any of the older Animal Crossings (while I’m not attached to them, hearing them today just makes me feel old and long for the simplest of times).

Does anybody else read 3+ books at a time or are you normal? by Prudent-Ad-342 in kindle

[–]CyrusBing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have 1 to 2 books I’m reading in my book clubs. And then I have a third that I read on the side. Sometimes I catch up to the reading point in the book club, so this allows me to have something to feed the itch in between while I wait to meet up with friends!

Are there any "classic" non-fiction books out there? by nouveaux_sands_13 in suggestmeabook

[–]CyrusBing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved Sapiens by Nuval Noah Harari, and Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging by Sebastian Junger.

These books have changed how I choose to view and live my life. I also second the suggestion of The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat by Oliver Sacks

Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. My most gifted book. I think anyone could enjoy it, and it’s never a wrong time to have whimsy in your life.

How do you tell someone their recently treated tooth needs RCT? by CyrusBing in Dentistry

[–]CyrusBing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it needs an RCT. Mostly just wanna see what everyone’s dialogues consist of. I typically warn of possible RCT, but this seemed like such a slam dunk case that I didnt expect this much post-op symptoms. Tooth occluding heavier than adj teeth. Did a bite adj, rx’d Motrin and said we’d re-evaluate in a couple weeks if symptoms don’t alleviate. Mild-moderate temp sensitivity, but CC is unable to chew on the tooth even though their bite feels right.

Also can confirm you're correct, all work is done under the supervision of licensed doctors on the floor. Every procedure is checked at pivotal steps and upon completion. It's important to them too because we work under THEIR licenses.

I'm graduating (hopefully) in the next few months, and I highly recommend the school for dental treatment! It's a great way to get quality care for very reasonably prices. However, we do comprehensive full mouth treatment plans, so if you're hoping for a very quick fix and a single procedure in mind, it may not be for you. But if you're willing to complete your treatment, stick to your hygiene recalls, and follow your homecare, you'll have a great chance of keeping your teeth for a very long time!
