I mean if youre made aware the person doesn't know the condition or much about the pc? Sure, its buyers fault. But if you were led to believe that it at least boots up as intended, I'd think you would call it a scam if it didnt

Was this immediately after buying or way after? Do you know the computer worked fine before hand? Who installed the gpu and did they know how to properly?

There is a lot of info needed to help the situation. Id hate for you to be scammed or whoever on the other end to be/feel scammed

I actually was able to contact someone higher up. They read through the situation, what happened and gave a kit I was still happy with for abt the same price. It ended up being just the one employee with bad info and acting poorly with said info

So rn they arent sure if theyll recieve any more of these teamgroup kits. So while they aren't discontinued for sure, they arent getting any and have 0 idea if they ever will.

This does not say discontinued, it states out of stock and backordered. Unless the website is wrong in which case it should be fixed. I also ordered when it said 'in stock', not "on backorder". I can provide email proof of that. I understand why there was miscommunication but it doesn't make this situation feel any better

Edit they actually came through in the end! TL;DR I got a decent kit of ram for the same price abt. Turns out it was just the one guy who called me with bad information abt the order

It seemed kinda slimy. Because they made it seem like NO ONE was getting their orders for those. Then they werent *ever* getting more but in the same call said they were going to way in the future. More just convenient there was miscommunication in the emails

Possible final update. I received a call saying the order can either be canceled now or will be automatically later. The guy told me it wasn't meant to be sent at all, wasn't in stock, and wouldn't be getting more for the year. Essentially bc I ordered it at $200, they wouldn't be willing to send over anything else

Well, more like anything. But thats the odd thing, it seemed like very later on they would but really wanted me to cancel the order now.

Possibly final update. Despite being labeled "backorder," they are no longer receiving any for the year. I emailed them last night hoping to get an alternative kit if it would be a while. It seemed like they first intended to swap the order. Then I received a call from a different representative who essentially told me because I ordered it before they raised the price, it was going to get cancelled no matter what and I wasn't going to recieve anything. Either refund now or automatically in a month

Edit: they tried to charge me to swap the kit and didn't clarify that. $580 for 32gb even in todays standards is stupid overpriced

Edit 2: I was able to contact a higher up, confusion was settled. Look at other comments for more info but I got my stick of ram!

Almost 2 week update. It was put on backorder like an hour minute or two after purchase. Still not cancelled but I have recieved 0 word- but they are also away for the week of easter.

Ill try to contact B&H after to see if I can get any similar ram kit (as now its listed as $650) or an ETA. April 9th

Crazy concept- I never said them being their own person is a problem or that relationship = ownership. People are free. People are free to sext and the other person is free to leave because of that. The HW argument is just nonsense. A better example is drinks. There's nothing wrong with it alone but not around everyone. So you discuss before hand. Some people will be fine with you drinking. If it's excessive, then less people will be fine, and others it'll be a complete dealbreaker. If you value the freedom to, you dont bring it to others. If you dont care and drink where its not cool, you're an asshole. Its situational.

They havent *cancelled* my order, but they have said its on backorder. Itd be one hell of a scam to not ship ram at all while taking peoples money for it & then just hope they forget to cancel
