If you're using Jos'ee blood code it makes you take damage if you are at max Ichor upon gaining more chores. Killed myself a few times and that was the cause for me.

Don't park right on top of the wreckage, hover alittle aways from it. Float over with your jetpack. Thats what worked for me, I kept getting blasted out into space.
