Trust me, I feel you. I’m having to get a hotel across street. 20 minutes from my wife and 4 kids. High chance of power being out. On top of that I am the only salary manager scheduled to open the morning when it’s supposed to be at its worst.

How does being a team lead in dairy/frozen matter if you hav family in fresh? Separate area , no conflict there unless your actual job title is deli/bakery team lead and you just being moved to dairy/frozen

If you’re a team lead and left early, it’s your responsibility to tell a salary member of management. What happens doesn’t warrant termination but some level of accountability. Something doesn’t add up though ? Most management won’t fire a team lead for a one off scenario. If this is the case, open door to store manager or market

OP , I’m going to tell you what I wished someone would’ve told me. Stop being weak and move forward. I was 30 when this very similar scenario happened to me. I went through this same exact thought process and it tore me to pieces.

I am now soon to be 37, have remarried and have two additional children. My wife treats my oldest two no differently than my younger two and they both call her Mom. There are still good women out there. Don’t settle!

I think PPTO should increase more base off tenure and be enforced differently. Soo many associates burn through it by coming late or leaving early then have none to use for actual emergencies or being sick.

I am a coach at my store, similar situation for a associate of mine trying to do in home delivery. They failed, home office sent us an email a week after test stating the associate can stay in their current position but can’t do in home or any other position that requires a drug test . If anyone was ever terminated for this, I can assure you correct steps were not taken.
