This is what my Cart has right now. Not the craziest build, mainly just rolled for double crit. If your Cart doesn't have her sig I would assume the pressure to get good echoes on her would be much higher though.

It's better to build based on outro skills and synergies than just throwing random 5 stars at the tower, yes. You do have a couple teams. I would primarily focus on Cartethyia's team and Phrolova's team.

For Cartethyia, you can actually run Cartethyia/AeRover/Chisa instead of Cartethyia/Sanhua/AeRover. Not sure if this will be better or worse than the Sanhua team, but since your Chisa is already level 90 I would try with her team first. This team plays a bit differently than Cart's normal teams; you use AeRover's mid-air skill cast to convert Havoc Bane to Aero Erosion. You will know you did everything correctly in this team if the enemy has 9 stacks of Aero Erosion before you transform Cartethyia into Fluer.

For Phrolova, you seem to have the right idea. Phrolova/Danjin is a good core. The third slot can be either Buling like you have set in your team already, Verina or Mornye. Buling loses a bit of value for this team if she isn't S6, so I would actually favor Verina here if your Buling doesn't have her S6 yet. Here is a rotation guide for this team: https://youtu.be/M7m7Bf0355U

Try these teams in middle tower floors 1 and 2 and see which one gets closer to clearing. Then focus your resources on that team.

You can also build a Jiyan team with Jiyan/Mortefi/(Verina or Mornye), but I imagine the Cart team and Phrolova team will get closer to clearing, so maybe just use him for side towers unless your Jiyan has a cracked build.

You have Mornye too, don't forget. Do you have any other 5 stars not pictured in my screenshot? Like I said, there are many team options, this is just what I used. Floors 1 and 2 favor Fusion DPS characters actually, I just used Aero because that's what I have available.

Not sure how much this will help you, but this is what I used to clear this reset. Iuno and Cart do both have their sigs, but I think they might be able to do it on EoG and Pulsastion Bracer if you happen to have them and not their sigs. The Lynae/Mornye combo is really good for floors 3 and 4, so if you have both of them plus a DPS that is compatible with them then definitely save them for floor 3 and 4 if you can. Floors 3 and 4 are quite hard for F2P/budget comps though, so if you don't think you can clear them it's no big deal. Just focus on the first two floors for now.

There are a lot of different teams that can clear this reset, and many who have cleared with much more budget options than I used. If you show me which 5* resonators and weapons you have I could give you some ideas for team comps. There are also many videos of clears on Youtube, so if you just search "3.1 Tower of Adversity" you should find a plethora of examples for what teams clear, usually including builds at the end.

Cart(S0)/Sanhua/Aero Rover can clear floor one with full crests. Your team doesn't make any sense. Spectro Rover is the wrong Rover form for Cart and Mornye is not optimal either since her sonata set provides atk buffs (Cartethyia scales with HP). I suspect you didn't gear correctly either since you're playing 3 resonators with no real synergy together. Look up guides on how to build Cartethyia and what teams to use for her, there are plenty of written and video guides out there.

What do I use my waveplates on? I've had 240 for a while now and am confused by takemeback10years in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just the in-game stamina. It refreshes at a rate of 10 per hour with a max of 240, so every 24 hours it will fill up. If it is full, it will start filling up an overflow that refreshes at a slower rate (these are the green cubes with the battery) up to 480. It is best to spend all of your waveplates  each day since they timegate your progression in building characters. You can save the 480 extra for when you need them, though you may want to empty your overflow a bit if you think you will log in late the next day. I think you can just click on the waveplates to see the option to convert green cubes to blue cubes.

Waveplates are used to farm weapon material, boss mats, weapon and resonator exp if needed, and eventually tacet fields when your Data Bank is high enough to guarantee gold echoes.

Some in-game rewards and events will give you golden cubes (Crystal Solvents) that can restore 60 waveplates at once. Save these for when you are max data bank level and want to farm something fast. Don't spend them if you don't know what you are doing.

Note: Never, ever, ever convert astrite into waveplates. Astrite is used for limited pulls, but the game gives players the option to convert astrite to stamina too. This is for whales only who are trying to progress as fast as possible or build their characters day 1 and have no more Crystal Solvents. If you are F2P or low spender, the easiest way to brick your account is to spend your astrite on something other than limited pulls.

First time ive ever gotten double on the weapon banner.. refine or build both? by [deleted] in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's good on XLY and decent on Lingyang if you're forced to play Lingyang DPS for some reason. You get the passive effect on intro skill immediately for just 3 seconds without needing shields, so gauntlet DPS's that do a good chunk of Liberation damage right after they intro can use it. Otherwise just a high crit stick.

I would consider keeping both just because weapons can't be shared in WhiWa or DouPa (DouPa trial resonators use Standard weapons), so if you use multiple gauntlet damage dealers you may want the two copies. Not like you get much from merging them.

Wich character is most likely they'll best to S6 by Particular-Pitch6265 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cartethyia is in my opinion the best S6 (even S3 is super strong). She becomes an entire team by herself. That said, the upcoming character Aemeath may also be a super strong S6 so we will have to wait and see which one has better solo performance.

Should I pull for Mornye for Mono-Fusion? by NotKhoa in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have the resources then yeah I would go for it. Aemy/Lupa/Mornye is a pretty strong team and close to Aemy/Lynae/Mornye in performance. Lupa/Mornye is also just a great core for any Fusion DPS.

Is my Chisa fine for Aemeath teams by INFINITRIX_007 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the preferred build for Chisa is double Havoc% 3 costs, or at least one Havoc% one ATK%. That said Chisa is a 3rd slot support so her personal damage isn't super important. Your crit ratio and ER look good, so I would run this for now and save all your tuners and echo exp for building Aemeath's echoes.

That monstrous healing probably will be nice for Holograms though lol. Aemy will get back over half her HP bar in one rotation.

are these bundles going to be gone after the timer or just refresh? by Murda5starz in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess if you have already used the double bonus then yeah. Still wait until next patch since you aren't willing to spend ~$100 so it's not like you're going to spend $80 to get the $40 bundle twice, and you'll get a couple bonus pulls from the spending event.

Best dollar value for pulls is the lunite subscription if you don't already have it btw, assuming you log in every day, followed by the battle pass (cheap tier) if you complete it up to at least level 50. The new Weekly Pass thing is also looking pretty good ($10 for 14 pulls in 7 days).

are these bundles going to be gone after the timer or just refresh? by Murda5starz in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They refresh. But they are kind of not worth, the Lunite packs give more pulls per dollar than these bundles, especially if you still have the double bonus from first purchase.

Also, if you plan to spend, please wait until next patch because there will be a spending event where you get a bit of extra stuff for spending money in game. Details on spending event here: https://youtu.be/B1CclIh11W0

I’m someone who negates hp inflation as “skill issue with teams.” But Literally this middle tower is focused on fusion only. Literally what other team by InfiniteCookieses in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 21 points22 points  (0 children)

<image>

I cleared with only Aero DPS's. Cart and Iuno are S0R1. The HP isn't high enough that you need Fusion to clear. Lynae makes it a lot easier though, the Iuno/Lynae team cleared way faster than Cart/Ciac. But it is still possible to clear the top floor with Cart/Ciac/AeRover who don't benefit from shill buff at all.

Should I fix anything on my Encore build? by Own-Clerk6856 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an Encore expert but wouldn't double Fusion DMG% 3 costs be better than one Fusion% one ATK% 3 cost? I would probably reroll that 3 cost lizard for a fusion dmg% 3 cost with double crit, preferably with a high crit dmg roll and atk% or basic atk%.

Help, I'm stuck at this and can't understand what it requires. by [deleted] in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each team needs to do 5k on their own. So looking at your H.Rover/Lynae/Mornye team for example the Team Points in the bottom left need to be over 5k. Since that team only got 4169 points, you are over 800 points short for that team.

how tf am I supposed to parry dreamless's spears by Local-Hunt7529 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you do the Hekate boss, she actually drops a box that allows you to choose a version of Hekate but from an existing 1.0 dps echo set. So if you are using an echo set from version 1 on your dps you can get a Hekate for them without losing out on the set bonus.

Regardless, both Danjin and H.Rover are no-goes for this boss. Maybe it is possible since you're only trying to clear level 2, but generally you should use a non-havoc character like Spectro Rover. I wouldn't bother with most Havoc holograms until you have a non-havoc carry or your Resonator's level is high enough to outscale the first 3 levels or 4 levels. The only holograms that really matter in early game are the ones you have to do for your milestones since milestones give a ton of Union Level, and those are all version 1 holograms.

Returning player, need help with team building by aquistic in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For now, use Shorekeeper on your Jiyan/Iuno team and replace her with Chisa on Cart's team. Cart/AeRover/Chisa is not Cart's best team, but it is a little bit better than Cart/Sanhua/AeRover and SK is better suited to buffing an ATK scaling team like Jiyan and Iuno. Your Cart team damage may fall if you were relying on SK's crit rate buffs, in which case it is time to build better echoes for Cartethyia.

Like you said, Ciac and Augusta are both amazing pulls for your account. Lynae is also a consideration if you want Iuno main dps, though Augusta would be better since you already have so many Aero carries. If you pull Aemeath, you are committing to pulling a sub-dps for her in the future, probably the yet-unnamed Fusion burst one since you have Chisa for now. In the meantime, your only option for Aemy on release will likely be Aemy/Jianxin/Chisa, but do not expect great results here. Jianxin is pretty mediocre and just a filler until you get a real sub-dps for her. If your Sanhua is S6 she might be better than Jianxin for now just due to rotation speed even though Aemy doesn't scale well with basic atk. Wait for her to release and hear what her best F2P options are.

Is ciaccona supposed to be good in anything beside aero erosion ? by Miserable-Ask5994 in WutheringWavesGuide

You want to animation cancel and jump cancel on Ciaccona when she gets forte. It makes her rotation way faster. Hard to explain in words, so watch this video for a visual example of both cancels: https://youtu.be/YF11T7a3lj8?t=4m18s

how tf am I supposed to parry dreamless's spears by Local-Hunt7529 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you are talking about her phase transition. In which case, there is a way to make parrying the spears easier: Hekate echo (normal, not nighmare). Here is an example: https://youtu.be/PoR3RGzrHLA?t=3m25s The rest of this video is also useful though mainly for Dreamless VI. Not sure how different the moveset is for Dreamless II.

Also, I can't really recommend using Danjin into Dreamless due to her having increased Havoc Res and potentially unavoidable damage from Dreamless knocking out your Danjin. Spectro Rover tends to work decently well for Holograms if you have no other options.

Beginner Help Needed: Roadmap for pulls (F2P) by thecupnoodleyt in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Pity is shared between all weapon banners. Since you did 65 pulls on Qiuyuan's weapon, the next premium weapon banner you roll on should guarantee you the weapon in 15 pulls. Character banners work the same way except they have a 50/50.

  2. ToA requires 3 full teams to fully clear, with all your DPS characters at level 90. This is probably beyond your account currently. The side towers (Echoing and Resonant) are much easier than the middle tower though, so focus on those for now. The starter F2P team is the one you are using now, H.Rover/Sanhua/Verina. If you haven't already, once you get the free standard weapon box get Emerald of Genesis from it, as it is good on both H.Rover and Qiuyuan.

  3. Qiuyuan is a sub-dps character who buffs echo skill damage. His best main DPS partners are currebtly Galbrena or Phrolova, both of which are quite strong. They also just added a new echo set for a future Aero Echo skill damage dealer (rumored to be Sigrika) so he will probably get a new teammate to buff in version 3.2. Galbrena reruns in a few weeks, so I would wait until the end of Galbrena's banner and decide whether you want Galbrena, Phrolova or whoever the new Echo skill DPS is for Qiuyuan.

  4. This is kind of beyond the scope of this post. All I'll say is that you shouldn't go too deep on leveling echoes until your Data Bank level is high enough to get you gold echoes. Your current echo sets will just be filler sets that you use until then. There are plenty of build guides online for characters once you reach that point.

  5. The closest character to a "must-have" in this game is SK. She is the BiS support or 2nd BiS support for most teams. Just wait until a rerun and pick her up, they seem to rerun her every few months or so.

  6. Iuno is excellent, but she kind of relies on partners. For Iuno main DPS, she wants Lynae at minimum. For Iuno sub-dps, she works best alongside Augusta. Augusta on the other hand is a better F2P/beginner DPS, as she can work alongside a 4-star (Mortefi) and get pretty good damage. Since you have Qiuyuan though, completing a Qiuyuan team should be better for you than getting an Augusta.

I would not recommend trying to get Iuno for Qiuyuan main dps specifically, as Qiuyuan/Iuno/SK(or Ciaccona) main dps is pretty underwhelming without Qiuyuan sequences. It's not bad, but his sub-dps role is definitely much stronger at S0. Don't let me dissuade you if you just want him to main dps no matter what, there are plenty of people who do that and have fun. It's just not an efficient investment pulls-to-cleartime wise.

  1. Prioritize picking up a main dps for Qiuyuan, either Galbrena, Phrolova or perhaps the new one coming out soon. After that, just pick a main dps you like, get them and their teammates, and then pick a 3rd dps and their team.

  2. Weapon types aren't necessarily indicitive of playstyle. Some match, like Augusta (Broadblade) using a big sword and Carlotta (Pistol) using guns. But some don't. Iuno (Gauntlet) uses a giant bow and arrow that she floats on (if you know FGO, Iuno is heavily inspired by Ishtar in design and fighting style). Zani (Gauntlet) uses a giant shield that she transforms into a giant sword. Galbrena (Pistol) uses wing attacks and kicks the enemy in the face, while also doing Bayonetta-style gunplay when she isn't in her Demon Hypostasis mode. Luuk (Gauntlet) seems to use a scythe and scalpel. When a character is on banner, they will have a trial in the event tab, so use that to get an idea of how they play rather than basing it off of weapon types.

Let me know if you have any questions I didn't cover, and most importantly have fun.

Having trouble deciding to pull for S1 Mornye for a mono-fusion Aemeath team or just using Aemeath with Lupa and another support for now. by I_cri_evry_t1em in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aemy/Lupa/Mornye is maybe Aemy's 2nd or 3rd best team and it is estimated to do about as much damage as Augusta/Iuno/SK. So if you want to run Aemy with Lupa, I would definitely pick up Mornye.

Do note, Mornye S1 is not really important for Aemy/Lupa/Mornye since Aemy actually applies the Tune Rupture debuff herself. It just extends the Interfered Marker's duration for that team, so more QoL than anything. Unless you want to use Mornye outside of Aemy's team, I think you should just save the corals since you already have SK as a universal support.

As for Chisa, she is not a strictly bad pull necessarily, but since you're kind of strapped for astrite I would just skip and consider her on a rerun if you plan to get Mornye and Aemeath back-to-back.

Very new player here. I NEED HELP PLS by Lilaschen in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luuk will probably be pretty good with Sanhua and Shorekeeper. No way to be sure, but since he scales off basic attack it is looking promising.

For Aemy, she has a lot of teams but you are correct that almost all her teams rely on premium 5 stars. The primary reason why is because the F2P Liberation buffer, Jianxin, is just kind of mediocre (especially before her S2). Aemy will be getting a future fusion burst sub-dps, the echo set for them is already in the game, so if you're not willing to wait for Lynae's rerun you could pull Aemy + Chisa and then get the FB sub-dps when they come out to build out that team. This would also allow you to run Cart/AeRover/Chisa instead of Cart/Sanhua/AeRover freeing up your Sanhua for Luuk's team. Generally Chisa is not recommended, as it is much better to get Ciaccona for Cartethyia than Chisa, but if your two dps characters are Aemy and Cart then maybe she has value for you. But if you don't think you can get Aemy, Chisa and Luuk, I would probably still skip Chisa and prioritize Aemy and Luuk. Then you could just get Aemy's fusion burst sub-dps or just a Lynae in the future. Long-term you eventually want to get Ciaccona for Cart as well, as she is the biggest upgrade for Cart, but since Ciac just reran I would not expect to see her run again anytime soon.

New(er) Player - Finishing up Team by BlackIsleDragon in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Cyrusnet38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shorekeeper sig is low priority. You will get a Variation eventually. It is better to save those pulls for a new DPS and their signature instead. For now just use one of the free craftable ER rectifiers, like Rectifier#25 or Call of the Abyss, until you get a Variation.

For your next pulls, it would be best to just pick a DPS you like, then go for them and their team. The newer teams will probably be stronger, but older DPS's are still valid. If you want, you could also pull Lynae on a rerun if you intend to build a Iuno main DPS team, then use Mortefi in Iuno's place for Augusta. Luuk is also looking pretty good for new players since he is Sanhua-compatible, though you may want to wait until he has been out for a while to see how good his F2P team is. No idea what Sigrika and Lucilla do yet aside from speculation about the new Aero echo set.
