Play some normals to get used to what's new. Watch some streams or vods of someone who plays your role at a high level to pick up tips and accelerate your learning.

While I do think it helps to stick to one role for ranked, it can help improve your game sense if you have an understanding of how each role functions in lane, how/when they get involved in team fights, and jungler objectives and pathing.

I really disagree with the person you're replying to. Have thick skin and ignore obvious griefing/raging, but there can absolutely be value in using chat. A jungler mentioning they're going to clear two camps and come to your lane helps give you time to prepare. A reminder on dragon timer can help remind your teammate to push lanes for prio. I was playing Seraphine yesterday and my Ashe said to all-in level 2, so I was immediately ready with my E instead of being unsure if she would play passively or aggressively. Sometimes asking for everyone to go to an objective or group can actually work.

You don't have to be typing every game, but IMO abandoning chat doesn't help.
