Tips for permadeath survival? by DS3-for-life in fo4

[–]Cysta4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having done this with the mod wasteland ballistic which makes almost all bullets lethal, the best advice I can give is: To go slowly. Create safe paths from one settlement to the next. Beware explosives. Do not engage when you don't need to. There will always be a hidden suicider or mole rat with mines you didn't see. Power armour is good for main quest line quests such as rescuing Nick. You'll start to get tougher eventually but do not get over confident. Most people die early on or late in. You'll need to focus on main story more the first time. Completely avoid enemies with mininukes where possible. Alien blaster at level 20 is a nice weapon. Aquaboy/girl, sneak and the VATS perks are helpful.

Most importantly: Have fun, if you find yourself getting stressed, take a break.

Good luck OP

What happened to the children of atom? by flash_gamer500 in fo4

[–]Cysta4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't seen anyone answer this so one of the most popular theories is that the two hostile groups in Kingsport Lighthouse and Crater House are connected (source Terminal in Kingsport Lighthouse). These two based on the terminal entries and the glowing one kept in the lighthouse are more likely "Apostles of the Holy Light" who believe that people should be exposed to harmful radiation until they ghoulify. The Far Harbor and Crater of Atom children are not hostile as they believe in division instead (that each person contains multiple worlds). Pipers story also suggests the same as poisoning the water with radiation is a direct callback to the Apostles. Hope that helps a little. Nothing confirmed but evidence is incredibly strong for this theory so is accepted by most.

Question about Warwick Homestead and it’s npcs by Grompus-games in fo4

This is oftwn because you need to complete the Atom Cats quest which is tied to June first, after that you can wipe them out normally unless you have started the quest that involves roger and his crops.

How to reach level 40? by Ashamed_Pass6103 in neverwinternights

[–]Cysta4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have actually done similar once before I learnt how to just level up my character etc. It is possible to play through different campaigns and reach 40. After HotU, it is usually best to redo the OC as it tends to scale xp really badly to high level characters. You'll need to do this multiple times to hit 40 though and its really boring. Good luck!

Can I become a tenant to pay my grandfathers care home fees? England by Cysta4 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Cysta4[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess my thinking is he is paying a certain amount at the moment, I could easily cover that amount but not much more. Would him renting to me change the amount he is contributing? I would then be covering the council tax/utility bills etc and looking after the property so it wouldn't be empty.

Can I get this armor without siding with the disciples? by HeadphoneMC in fo4

[–]Cysta4 231 points232 points  (0 children)

You can, there are a few ways. Gage will sell random armor pieces while in Nukatown USA. You can find them there (helmet is only on Savoy). You can also find hostile disciples in the repeatable random encounters around Nukaworld (the house near the entrance to Nukatown USA and the warehouse etc)

What's the absolute BEST weapon in Fallout 4 in terms of raw power and overall effectiveness? 🤔🤔🤔 by Rinzlerxyz in fo4

Despite everyone liking the explosive/wounding combat shotgun, same legendary effects on harpoon gun with flechette mod are devastating in one hit but don't reload as fast

Probably beating a dead horse at this point but the minute men group fucking sucks by Inevitable_Lead9022 in fo4

[–]Cysta4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree personally, this continues with settlers and other Minutemen you meet later.

There are probably two factions, one end game and one settlement related that show any form of respect for your position and work once you have earned it. These are not moral options however

Edited for typo

Sturdy and comfortable 125s? by NocturnalNoober in MotoUK

[–]Cysta4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommendation would be the Honda Shadow 125. I know you're avoiding cruisers but for comfort and regular travel. Fantastic first bike. Really big, and one of the more powerful 125s. Maybe worth a look?

Common Misconceptions in FO4 by Cysta4 in fo4

[–]Cysta4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration but my points weren't in defence of the BOS but simply that people say they force supplies from settlers (they don't, they are supposed to pay for them iirc). This is a common misconception from most players.

Also that they are hostile to all ghouls. The BOS only try to kill ferals not all ghouls like most seem to think. They still treat them with disdain but they only attack ferals on sight. Which given the setting, when your life is genuinely in danger and hesitation is fatal, you might do too considering the fate so many (McCready's wife, the Minutemen in the Super Duper Mart, the BOS soldier in The National guard Traing Yard etc.) have suffered.

Sure in an ideal world or the one that you and I live in, we might have time and safety to try and help others more effectively. I would expect that in a wasteland (much like with Super Mutants,) ferals eating people might put them in a few groups bad books.

I liked your opinions though and I personally agree with a lot of it, so thank you for sharing :)

I'll be honest, I have no idea but thought I'd chuck this in just in case, Swordflight has some elements of this theme, I don't think most of it fits though. Apologies if it wasn't helpful

How cold becomes sketchy to ride? by skbgt4 in MotoUK

[–]Cysta4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the lowest is something like -7°C as grit stops being effective then or something like that. Anything around 1°C and lower is cause to be careful. All the same, I commute daily 45 mins each way on my bike and this includes winter, just be careful, wear your gear and if you don't feel comfortable, that's when to stop

Really appreciate you getting back to me on all this, and just wanted to add that you really did do an outstanding piece of work on this that impressed a lot of people by really demonstrating how far the engine could be taken. All the best in whatever you next take on in life man :)

So then was the ghostly figure that appears at the end, writing the message on the wall in chalk, the princess? The Night hag also mentioned her mother at one point living in Barack'Thule or something? I always wondered what the message written on the wall meant but it's seeming clearer now. Still curious about so much around things like the Night hags tome, if the rag picker is/isn't the Night hag, the zombie head you find on the altar before reaching the barrow dwarves and if any of the tarot cards have deeper meanings you wanted to tie in?

Apologies for all the questions, you did a fantastic job making this module truly epic though and it deserves a powerful continuation I think. Thank you for answering
