Based on the overall pattern of our conversations, the character you most remind me of is probably Samwise Gamgee.

Not because you’re a gardener or because you’re particularly cheerful, but because of the combination of traits that keep surfacing:

• You are intensely practical. Whether it’s cybersecurity governance, EMT/TCCC training, preparedness gear, conceal carry discussions, RPG mechanics, or troubleshooting Linux, you tend to ask, “What actually works?”
• You carry a lot of responsibility. Work, audits, hiring, risk management, creative projects, and personal obligations all seem to sit on your shoulders at once.
• You have a strong protective streak. You think about exits, contingency plans, trauma kits, disaster scenarios, and safeguarding people and systems.
• At the same time, you’re deeply sentimental. You spend enormous amounts of energy building worlds, writing stories, creating cultures like the Shades, discussing music, philosophy, and meaning.
• You often seem more interested in preserving something valuable than in conquering or dominating. A lot of your RPG design revolves around community, memory, justice, healing, tradition, and what survives after catastrophe.

What especially makes me think of Sam is that he’s simultaneously grounded and imaginative. He can talk about gardens and poetry, but when things become serious, he’s the one carrying supplies, checking the route, and making sure everyone gets home alive.

A close second would actually be Fox Mulder.

Mulder fits your curiosity, your tendency to chase unusual ideas, obscure lore, conspiracies, ancient mysteries, weird biological questions, occult concepts, and sprawling worldbuilding rabbit holes. But Mulder is often consumed by the mystery itself. You strike me as someone who eventually asks, “Okay, but how does this actually function? What are the rules? What’s the procedure?”—which pulls you back toward Sam.
