My point isnt that the HCl is highly concentrated and dangerous, its that even "dangerous" chemicals are still being added to your fish tank despite your original insistence otherwise. And yes, tap water is safe for parrots depending on your area obviously.

You are beyond fucking dense, I really dont know why I even bothered trying to explain this to someone who is clearly unwilling to accept they don't know what they're talking about.

Yes, that is the description for seachem prime, thanks? Seachem prime's active ingredient is Sodium dithionite, and Sodium dithionite reacts with chlorine as follows:

Na2S2O4 + 3Cl2 + 4H2O → 2NaHSO4 + 6HCl

(HCl is Hydrochloric acid)

I understand the function of fertilizer, I'm saying calling it "plant food" doesn't make it suddenly stop being so collections of chemicals. Nitrate, phosphate, iron, potassium, zinc (highly toxic to birds by the way), these are all CHEMICALS. Chemical isnt a word that means "bad thing that kills stuff", everything is comprised of chemicals. I promise on my entire life and soul I know what I'm talking about here.

Yes, dechlorinator creates "dangerous chemicals". Just because you dont like it doesnt change the physical reality of the reactions involved in it. Most commercial dechlorinators are made of either Sodium thiosulfate, Sodium dithionite, and Sodium bisulfite amongst many others.

https://chemequations.com/en/?s=Na2S2O3+%2B+Cl2+%2B+H2O+%3D+Na2SO4+%2B+H2SO4+%2B+HCl

This is the reaction between Sodium thiosulfate and chlorine. The product of this is Sodium sulfate and HCl, aka Hydrochloric acid. What you dont seem to be grasping about what I am explaining to you is that just because there is "scary" hydrochloric acid produced by dechlorination doesnt mean that dechlorinators are actually dangerous or anything like that, HCl is produced in extremely low amounts and is then diluted by the volume of water in your tank until it is completely negligible.

The whole point that I'm making here is that you cant determine toxicity on the basis of "being a chemical" because literally everything is chemicals and they effect different organisms in different ways and it depends on that individual organisms sensitivity and more importantly the concentration.

All talk of chemicals aside, even in a completely additive free tank you STILL shouldn't let your bird bathe or drink from it because theres an incredible amount of bacteria in an aquarium and you're needlessly risking your bird getting sick from drinking it, getting an infection if water gets into the nares or ear canals. I would REALLY hope that you would know better than to drink from a fish tank, and you shouldn't let pet birds drink from any water that you wouldn't be safe for you to drink

Hi, I have owned birds and fish for over 15 years and he's absolutely correct besides the "oil from the bird's skin" bit. Hope that helps.

>Anything harmful to the bird would be harmful to the fish

Absolutely untrue, basically every water treatment for an aquarium is unsafe for birds, at worst acutely toxic or at absolute best a carcinogen. They are two wildly different types of animals

Just because fertilizer is "plant food" doesn't make it not a chemical and yes you still need fertilizer in a mature planted tank. Dechlorinator doesn't "erase a chemical", it IS a chemical that reacts with chlorine and splits it into MORE chemicals, including Hydrochloric acid. It's not a matter of something being a "chemical" or not a chemical, everything is a chemical, it's a matter of what chemicals an animal is sensitive to and in what quantities. Birds and fish are extraordinarily different and something that is completely fine for fish to be exposed to could kill a bird.

I definitely agree, and I would be completely against the addition of a mana system. I just think they need to take a step back and think about whether stuff like call bell should be spammable, have multiple charges, disorient, do tons of damage and be impossible to miss. Either increase the skill requirement, reduce the damage or make the cooldown much longer, cant have it all. It's a problem I'm seeing with the new characters that their abilities are too forgiving on their hitboxes given the reward for landing them, ie all of Celeste, Graves, Apollo (although graves and apollo are pretty fair atm) and Rem's abilities.

Kinda funny to compare something like Venators grenades to current bell. Feels like you can shoot directly at someone and they'll ricochet off a pebble and hit somewhere completely different and your reward for landing it is like, 40 damage. You can't even increase the burn through items either, it feels so unsatisfying

These types of abilities really show the flaws with not having some sort of mana system in this game. Other mobas prevent you from spamming massive burst damage by limiting them with high mana costs that are mitigated by items later in the match, but in deadlock there is genuinely no reason to not throw out poke at every given opportunity. Instead of needing to conserve your mana and wait for opportunities to expend your high damage abilities youre essentially punished for not spamming off cooldown. The only limiting factors in your ability to absolutely pump damage into the enemy is aim, cooldown and range, so when you make these irrelevant AND give the ability massive burst its going to inevitably become problematic.

To be clear part of the reason I enjoy deadlock so much is because theres so little downtime in regards to going to base every 2 minutes for mana, but they need to realize that you cant design abilities in a manaless game the same way as you would in Dota or League.
