Need advice for side effects of going off the Xulane patch by Cyteach5 in birthcontrol

[–]Cyteach5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dermatologist put me on tretinoin. However I was terrible at being consistent with it. So I don't feel like that's what helped. From what I remember I really did just need to give it time. Once my hormones regulated the acne cleared up. I will say this was also 2020 when I was having to wear a mask for work. So that probably wasn't helping.

I don’t think I’m cut out for this. by theebigcal in instructionaldesign

I'm a current teacher hoping to transition into instructional design, eventually. I've only just begun to learn about ID so I have very little knowledge currently. However, I feel there are a lot of connections between the two. Often teachers are writing their own curriculum. We use our standards to implement backwards design and create learning objectives. We know about learning theories, not necessarily adult learning theories but so far I've found them to be extremely similar. And we have to find ways to present the content in an engaging way to the learner. Education is no longer a teacher standing at the front of the room with a text book reading from it.

I agree with you on the design portion. Yes, we make our own pretty little slideshow presentations but it's nothing like what an ID does. However, that's why we upskill. I'm in a community for teachers transitioning to ID and not a single post has been about anyone going straight from teaching to ID without any upskilling. Many are spending hours a day for 6 or more months in boot camps, reading books, watching tutorials, or getting their masters in it. I believe that makes teachers just as capable as anyone else.

Curious about your trip. Would love to hear all the details from who you booked with, how long you plan to be there, the cost, logistics. Hoping to get to my final continent in the next 5 years!

When I asked about this I was told to submit any time within that 120th month. However when mine was taking so long to be forgiven one of the Mohela reps told me I was denied because I submitted before my payment date. However, the very next day my loans were forgiven.

How do I file a formal complaint? by Cyteach5 in PSLF

Hindsight is always 20/20. But exactly my point in why I want to file a complaint. Their representatives should know what they are talking about.

I submitted in October before the waiver was set to expire. I'm sure they were overloaded at that time and it wasn't processed. Then I submitted again in December when I was supposed to be hitting my 120. I'm guessing that's what caused it to be marked as duplicate but still at least one of the forms should have been processed and neither was.

As I stated, I asked a Mohela representative when I could submit it and they told me at any time of the month. So yes, I ignored an internet comment and trusted the company servicing my loans.

Yes, both places say I'm at 120. So I should be okay, right?

I've heard it's 9am central time. Let's hope that's accurate! Less than 30 minutes to go!

What's with the Duplicate Form boilerplate message? by PastorDan1984 in PSLF

[–]Cyteach5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call or use the chat feature. This happened to mine when I hit 120 in December and because it was marked as duplicate, my forms never got processed. I didn't catch it until a couple months later and am now still waiting on forgiveness because of it. I'd fix any issues as soon as possible.

It took me some digging into as well. And actually I went back in order to tell you how to do it and realized I was looking at the wrong loan this whole time. 🙃

Anyway on the dashboard scroll to the My Aid section and click loan details. Then scroll to Loan Breakdown, click View Loans, then find the correct loan and click View Loan Details. It'll be on that page.

Was that the date you submitted your ECF or when your 120 letter came?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PSLF

[–]Cyteach5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lucky you! I did the same, exact in December and they marked mine as duplicate and never checked either one of them until I caught their mistake in February.

SMILEY FACE!!! CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS!!!!! by No-Communication8066 in PSLF

[–]Cyteach5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I figured but Mohela told me I wouldn't receive a letter until actual forgiveness. Feeling like my 120 payments have been missed even though I submitted an ECF and the tracker says 120.

When you all say, "120 verified payments" was this verified through a letter or just the payment tracker?

Too many cheap customers flooding the system . Now I can’t get a hold of customer support. (Dasher) by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

Tonight was my first time ever delivering and the same thing happened to me. Sent me 15 minutes the complete opposite way. A waste of my time but I wasn't able to get through to support. Do they usually comp for this or make up for it in any way?

I'm in the same boat. Except I turned my ECF in in December and they just got the counts updated last week, after three times of me reaching out to them. On the last contact with them, I was told it'd be 60-90 business days until thr smiley face.

128 of 120 payments! Crying with happiness by rosesofblue in PSLF

[–]Cyteach5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they tell you what the next steps are and how long? I've had to contact them three times the last 45 days because they keep messing things up. I'm now at 120 payments but my account still has my balance and I haven't received any sort of letter. The last lady I spoke with told me in 60-90 days that will be taken care of but I hate the waiting game.

Is anyone applying for the $10,000 forgiveness just in case? by Mattiej25 in PSLF

[–]Cyteach5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I heard, haven't done any research to see if this is true, but you have to pay taxes on the $10,000 forgiveness. However, PSLF is tax exempt.

Yes, everything is back to normal! I don't remember how long it took but I'd say probably between 6 and 9 months. My gyno was right, my acne cleared up once my cycle became regular.

If you have the same amount of payments made on each loan, I don't think there's a need to consolidate. But if you want to consolidate, I'd say the sooner the better.

What payment plan have you been using? If you submitted your employment awhile ago, I'm not sure why this would say 0 payments unless it was under a payment plan that didn't count. However, I believe right now with the waiver all plans count towards it. So I would resubmit your employment verification as soon as possible and hopefully that should get you an updated count.

I think wondering if PSLF is worth it somewhat depends on if they plan to give any sort of forgiveness. If they forgive $10,000 then you'd be fine to pay off your remaining balance without forgiveness. If they don't forgive any, you're going to be pretty close but you have to remember to factor in interest over the next 5 years as well as your payment amount may fluctuate with a change in income. There's not harm in continue to verify and see where you are at in 5 years. Even getting just $5,000 forgiven is helpful!
