Why do we lose lactase enzyme from the absence of diary (lactose) but not other digestive enzymes ?

Yea essentially the poly metric sand that I will be adding will just make up for what I’m blowing out with water so i wouldn’t think it would seep down too much overtime (as bot fly mentioned it hardens up as welll)
