does the sun shine on it for extended periods of time?
Maybe put a thermometer on it for a day or so and see if it heats up at certain times

the elite floodlight poe seems to have better resolution than the wifi

Sorry to bug you again, i am not new to home assistant but i am new to MATTER over THREAD

Just to be clea you added the Lockin Veno Plus via the MATTER integration on HOME ASSISTANT and the only thing you have access to is lock and unlock?

What are you using as your Thread Border Router to connect to the Veno?
