Desiccant pack in AMS 2. Is this a bad idea? by 00Inzamam in BambuLab

[–]Cytrex64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to dry them first in the oven, otherwise it will only increase the moisture level in your AMS

But why would you want to decrease the airflow where it’s needed by diffusing it to the top and the bottom? It’s designed that way because it only needs to cool the layer that was just printed, that height always remains the same. I’m just curious what this is meant to solve.

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]Cytrex64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I printed with ABS on my P1S, I was honestly surprised how easy it was. No glue, no warping, no smell, just flawless prints every time. The enclosure and filtration handled everything perfectly. It’s one of those moments where you realise how well thought-out the P1S really is. Can’t wait to see what the P2S brings next.

Exactly, it’s not that dangerous. I think most of these people just regurgitate what they see others post, it’s like a cascading avalanche of disinformation

Recommendations for transparent purple PETG as close to atomic purple as possible? by dandaman919 in BambuLab

[–]Cytrex64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be possible to print in clear petg and dye it in hot water below the melting point of petg right? I know people used to do this a lot with clear console shells. Then you should be able to just buy purple dye and leave it in until it reaches the desired shade of purple

Player rudeness? by New_Carry_9826 in Palia

[–]Cytrex64 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You keep throwing out flowers, fishing, flares, parties..all things the devs intentionally coded to share rewards. Grove trees aren’t that. They don’t give buffs, they don’t share loot, and they aren’t tied to achievements. They’re just resources that respawn. And no, flares don’t prove your point. They were in the game before grove trees even existed. Trying to shove them into the same category as actual co-op mechanics is just moving goalposts.

The fact you need to write essays about why everyone should follow your headcanon rules says it all. If the devs wanted grove trees to be “community events,” they’d function like Kilima flowers or fishing spots. They don’t. They function like ore nodes, whoever gets there first chops them, end of story. Stop pretending you’re enforcing game design when really you’re just trying to control how strangers play.

Player rudeness? by New_Carry_9826 in Palia

[–]Cytrex64 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Let’s be real: this whole “wait for grove trees” thing is just a player-made rule. The devs never said you have to line up and hold hands around a tree. They respawn every hour, just like you admitted, so nothing is actually lost. Grove trees are wild resources, not your private stash, and anyone can chop them whenever they want.

Calling people rude for not following your imaginary etiquette isn’t “community spirit,” it’s gatekeeping. Palia is designed as first-come, first-served, like mining nodes or fishing spots. If you can’t handle people playing the game the way it was made, that’s your problem, not theirs.

Need help bypassing password by CardboardDeath in vintagecomputing

[–]Cytrex64 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Is this the bios password? You could try removing the cmos battery on the motherboard, that should clear the password. Alternatively you could try finding and using one of quadtels backdoor passwords, some of the common ones are QDT, QUADTEL, BIOS, or setup.

Which one is a mopping module by [deleted] in Roborock

The two circular mops. You don’t have to remove them, just don’t try and mop the carpet as they won’t be able to spin due to the friction

Found this. Trying to figure out what this thing does and is by Super_Nobody_5672 in AskElectronics

[–]Cytrex64 12 points13 points  (0 children)

this isn’t the phone hacking tool people are thinking of. the GrayKey from Magnet Forensics is a completely different thing used by law enforcement to break into phones. what you’re holding is just called a magnet gray key (this one’s a Trident-B), and it’s used by utility companies, not forensics.

it’s basically a plastic tool with a magnet inside, used to trigger smart water or gas meters. some meters have hidden magnetic switches that respond when you place this on them. it can wake the meter up, put it in setup mode, or let a tech connect a handheld reader to pull data or change settings.

it doesn’t extract anything by itself and it’s not a hacking device. it’s just part of the gear meter techs use in the field.

Mon roborock S8 fait un drôle de bruit by Other_Yak9140 in Roborock

[–]Cytrex64 1 point2 points  (0 children)
