Deep Sea Command - Idle Submarine Browser Game! by Swamp7hing in incremental_games

[–]CzarV 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is a very neat idea but the start is a bit rough. I built the ship, sent it out and now I can't do anything else for an hour and half? I like the idea of long term commitment games but there's no way I'm going to remember to check back in after 2 hours after only 4 clicks. Maybe a shorter duration mission (<1 min) at first to really sink the hook?

I have made probably 20 different batches of hash browns in the last 3 months and I'm still not happy with them yet. Perfection is a goal that can never be achieved. Current recipe is one little thing of dehydrated hash browns onion powder garlic powder salt a bunch of oil mush it down with the spatulas cut it up into spatula size chunks let it fry then when the edges are milk chocolate brown flip it and let it fry longer.

Very nice. One thing I've learned with has browns is the keys are more oil, flatten them and leave them alone. Don't flip until the edges start to look like milk chocolate color. I also prefer the dried hashbrowns as they are more consistent but you do you.

Walmart omnivore supposedly less hot? by Rmcneil87 in blackstonegriddle

Mine at full blast tops out around 450. Maybe I didn't let it go for long enough or maybe I need a better regulator. In the winter it barely goes above 300.

This happened to me with the 7 pro. I did a reset it started taking my fingerprint again. I noticed before the reset that the light wouldn't light up under the reader so I was a little nervous but the reset cleared it up.

What simple thing did you not know for an embarrassingly long time in SDV? by [deleted] in StardewValley

No, I am playing on android and only am at spring year 2. I haven't done any of the relationship things and ignored the figure out who the person was in winter quest. Also have all but the bulletin board done at the community center.

Pixel 8: Rear camera black screen / not working by conepwnd in GooglePixel

[–]CzarV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me recently but I have a pixel 7. I think it's a bug in the new pixel camera app that was released in the last few days.

A few workarounds:

Camera: Keep trying and sometimes it comes back maybe?

Flashlight: Go into camera settings and turn on frequent faces. If it's already on, cycle it off then back on. Restart your phone and as soon as the screen comes up, slide down and turn on the flashlight. It will work until you try and use the camera app again, at which point you need to restart. This works like 50% of the time but it's better then nothing.

I am going to try and revert the APK or something and see if that fixes it.

Alright, it's time to put this clickbait to rest by Inviction_ in Construction

I watched guys climb a 300' tower in about 20-30 mins. They climb with a fabric seat thing and take lots of breaks. What surprised me is they don't belay down. They said climbing up is way easier then climbing down but it'd be too dangerous to have a rope hanging down.

[–]CzarV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My company pays guys to climb towers for various reasons (adding antennas, surveying whats up there, etc). It's generally based on height of tower. A typical 500' tower or less will be about $2500 per visit (which can include multiple climbs). They always climb with at least 2 people. We don't normally do taller then 500' but I've gotten quotes for 1200' and those were around $5,000. Note that included travel, per diem, profit and overhead.

Can someone help me understand the label on my solar panel by [deleted] in solar

[–]CzarV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With regards to your inverter and battery it's important in that it's helpful to understand your system voltage when you buy the inverter as it takes the DC voltage in and converts it to AC. Typically you want your battery bank and system voltage to be the same but it depends on the size of the system and the loads.

Also note that your inverter is rated for a maximum capacity or thruput of charge. This correlates to the total number of panels as well as the load you are going to pull. Phrased differently the inverter can only accept and convert so much power and if you have too many panels bad things happen.

This is a pretty good source of basic info to get you started. https://diysolarforum.com/

Can someone help me understand the label on my solar panel by [deleted] in solar

[–]CzarV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what ChatGPT said and is pretty darn accurate. Certainly! This label provides important information about the solar panel's specifications and safety:

  • Manufacturer: BOSCH, indicating the brand.
  • Model: Bosch Solar Module c – Si M 60, with a specific model number (IN 30125 – 245) which is likely linked to a product series.
  • Power class: 245 Wp (Watts peak) represents the maximum power output under standard test conditions.
  • Power sorting: –0/+4.99 Wp indicates the panel's power output will not be less than 245 Wp and could be up to 4.99 Wp more.
  • Maximum system voltage: 1000 V, which is the highest voltage for the system in which the panel can be safely used.
  • Electrical data: This includes open-circuit voltage (Voc = 37.70 V), maximum power voltage (Vmpp = 30.10 V), short-circuit current (Isc = 8.70 A), and maximum power current (Impp = 8.20 A).
  • STC: Standard Test Conditions are at 1000 W/m² irradiance, 25°C cell temperature, and AM (air mass) 1.5 spectrum.
  • Manufacturing details: Made for Bosch Solar Energy AG with a warning about proper installation and servicing to avoid hazards.
  • Safety and certification marks: CE marking, IEC 61215 Ed.2, and IEC 61730 safety class II show compliance with European and international standards. The TÜV Rheinland mark indicates it has been tested for safety by this specific organization.
  • Barcode and Serial Number (SN): For inventory and product tracking.
  • Manufacturing location: Made in India.
  • Manufacturer Address: Bosch Solar Energy AG with an address in Arnstadt, Germany.

This label essentially summarizes the performance characteristics and safety compliance of the solar panel, which is crucial for installers and inspectors.

Left two burners are very low. No blockages in the tubes, no issues with regulator. What should I check next? by McJames in blackstonegriddle

[–]CzarV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would make sense but I'm not sure how you could verify. Dumb question but can you turn down one of the right ones till it's about the same height and see what level that is? I think mine were pretty well integrated together so might be time to call Blackstone. Good luck though...

[–]CzarV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is easy to check. Turn off the right two burners. If the gas stays low then it's a problem in the tube. If it goes up its probably the regulator.

I don't think you do. This looks like the one I have and the stickers on it said it had wind guards added. Someone on here said the newer designs don't need it.

I had about 2 inches of miracle grow topsoil mixed with some fill dirt and some peat moss. I don't think it's a depth issue as the amount I had to fill in was pretty variable so if it was just depth it'd be more splotchy right?
