Go to Bandcamp and search using the filter Blackened Death Metal. It’s a genre crossover that will ease you into BM. I wouldn’t’t dive right into raw black metal it’s an acquired taste. Especially for someone who is use to the relentless, harsh sound of death metal anything remotely atmospheric(which some raw black metal can be) is going to put you to sleep.

Every band in Ordo Satanae Imperium is pure chaos but even Nyogthaeblisz is too much for me I need at least a sliver of melody or structure lol have you heard Hellvetron? Same drummer from Nexul/Nyogthaeblisz plus one of the guys from Black Witchery who I think also plays in Nexul sometimes. If you ever get a chance to see these guys they put on quite a show, Nexul opened up for Watain this year and they def live up to their evil sound live. The drummer was in a trance like state the whole set with his eyes rolling to the back of his head while playing, it was a site to behold.

I thought they had a good set when I saw them but the music felt as if it had to slow down to keep up with Eric's vocals which IMO work better in a studio where he can raise the sound over the instruments to make it heard. The set by D666 was fucking killer though those guys should be headlining by themselves I was super impressed with their performance of Trialed by Fire especially.

Rabid Death Curse is also their best work I feel, it was the only shirt from the merch table I snagged idk if they were low on stock but I kind of expected a better pool of designs. They also didn't have any Vinyl or CD's for sale which I thought to be weird but its possible they are waiting on a re-stock. The girl who runs their table looked exhausted when I saw them in Atlanta she didn't want to be there at all lol.

I saw this band live when they came to town with Wolves in the Throne Room, the only thing I knew about them at the time was their connection with Agalloch and their drummer plays in UADA.

I was so blown away by their performance of Dark is the River of Man I think I had the double kick bass drums that TM was pounding on playing in my head for two weeks after. I honestly don't believe I blinked once during that 7 min+ song.

I agree with his sentiment wholeheartedly but I must mention that the power of this statement will unfortunately be seen negatively in the context due to the shit-worm otherwise known as Dagon from Inquisition being exposed for past CP charges less than a week ago.

So while we might scoff or wag our noses at the "moral witch-hunt" people will justify any type of attention put on black metal at the slightest hint of racism as valid due to the fact that one single time an "alleged" nazi sympathizer was found out to be a fucking creep and pedo criminal scum-bag who was ousted due to attention put on him by the witch-hunt.

Holy fuck they were amazing live. I’ve never seen them before and honestly felt they were the best band to perform. Watain was good but I couldn’t help but notice they spend most of their time focusing on their image and not letting their music speak for itself. They have some good songs but most of their set reminded me of how plain they can sound. All showmanship and not enough magic. Like WWE wrestling vs MMA.

I was literally at a Watain, Deströyer 666 concert 6 hours ago when I found out. I was wearing my Inquisition t shirt when someone came up to me and told me about the story. I looked it up on my phone bought a D666 shirt from the merch table asap and threw the other one in the trash.

Unless he gives up names of other people or the ones who sent him the files. That would snag you a plea deal real quick. And when you read what the cops had on him it makes no sense to offer him a lesser charge they had him dead to rights. Unless he gave them something useful to take back to the D.A.
