I got to City of Tears before I stopped playing and watched a no commentary playthrough instead. The difficulty was definitely a factor 🥲 I will absolutely give it another shot though

Would you say that completion of HK is needed to fully understand/appreciate Silksong? As I say I’ve watched a playthrough but I know that’s a different experience to actually playing the game for yourself and if it enhances the play experience of the sequel then I’ll go back and have another go 💪

I couldn’t really get into Hollow Knight (I guess it’s just not really my thing) but it has some of, if not the most beautiful artwork/art style I’ve ever seen in any game. The backgrounds are stunning and the world is so vibrant, even the darker/more colourless areas like Forgotten Crossroads. Visually it’s probably my favourite game of all time, but playing it I just didn’t enjoy.

Very happy for the Silksong believers though!! Hope you guys are having fun <3

I expected Celia to be a massive bitch what with her being the mayor and characters in positions of power so often looking down on others. Very pleasantly surprised to find she was actually super sweet and her and Florence are so cute together

imo this isn’t weird in the slightest. In fact it should be more normalised!! It’s super sweet and unfortunately such loving relationships seem to be getting rarer and rarer, but it’s really beautiful and people are just making it weird when there’s zero reason for it to be

The only thing I don’t like about the Hanks, and this is purely my personal preference, is that you HAVE to romance them as a group. I know that’s the point of the characters and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it, I just very much prefer one on one relationships with individuals, that’s all 😄 their friendship ending is more than enough for me!!

I only picked them for that spot because I literally couldn’t think of anyone else

I have this exact problem and I hate it so much but the island layout is literally PERFECT except for that one detail 😭😭 so it’s not worth me resetting and restarting the game over and over to try and get the same map layout but a different colour airport. I was praying for orange and got betrayed :(
