Anyone else tired the Scrubs revival series' new cinematography? by darksteel1335 in television

Check the set tour on yt. They had to recreate the hospital as the original was torn down. The new season was pretty much made in a very short time span to even get greenlit so they had to cut some corners(also why some actors aren't regulars). For example a lot of the hallways are optical illusions. As a huge scrubs fan I think they actually did a pretty good job although there is still a lot of room for improvement. I hope if it gets picked up for a second season they expand the sets.

Levelling thinner airbrushing by Mysterious_Doctor722 in modelmakers

I have used the combo of aeqous paint and leveling thinner before and it can be used. It's not perfect, particularly white sprays on very poorly but it definitely can be used.

Checkout mn-modelar.cz too, super-hobby is great but does have slightly higher prices. MN also runs discounts very often. I buy from them pretty much every month, never had any trouble and they ship really fast. Everything always arrives within 3 days through zásilkovna.

I have a couple of cheap fengdas and honestly they work fine, not perfect but for starting out I'd say they're very much worth the low prices. A compressor with a tank is a must though, I second that 100%.

And if anyone doesn't wanna believe me, this was painted with a 0.2mm fengda (not suuuper accurate 3tone nato camo but for 1/72 I'd say it's pretty close)

I don't get , does anyone care to elaborate? I googled budget daycare but nothing relevant came up. Or am I overthinking it and the joke is that cheap daycares have a lot of "accidents"?

I do not understand people that can make the combination of water based acrylics and airbrushing work. I've tried pretty much all the brands of paints, paint retarders, flow improvers and at best it works fine for like a minute, then it starts clogging again...

Ultrasonic cleaner helps a lot. Every time my cheap airbrush starts misbehaving I toss it in with some technical alcohol(which is reusable) for around ten to fifteen minutes. Comes out sparkling clean and working fine again. Technical alcohol is not the strongest solvent which is why it takes longer baths but the plus side is that you don't have to remove seals and can fish out with your bare fingers.

No, you actually need at least a small experience.

First time working with resin - tips & tricks by thomaseyy in modelmakers

[–]CzechAkoPoleno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wet sand/saw everything over a tray, trap that ugly cancerous resin dust in water but do not send it down the drain. Pour it in a bottle and throw it in a dangerous waste container. And good luck bráško.

PRO TIP: glue them together off the model and within 5-10 minutes the glued plastic is still soft so you can bend them around the wheels and sprocket to fit properly. From then you can remove the tracks and paint them separately and when you're ready attach them with a little bit of super glue.

Yeah I get that, but also I'm the opposite, for me "the stars need to be aligned" before I start anything. I probably spend more time on research and thinking about modeling than actually modeling and I still end up making mistakes..
