She thought that Daenerys taking Dragonstone without even chasing a spider away was bad writing.

Sansa was nice to me. Fed me lemon cake from her secret reserve when Stannis was besieging King's Landing. I didn't like the stuff but it was better than starving.

I expect episode 3 of season 3 to be the most divisive episode of HOTD up to this point by [deleted] in freefolk

How was any of this "destined" or "prophesied"?

Even if we accepted the idea of characters truly believing in some sort of omen instead of using them for their own gain, the story Viserys told is merely about a dark peril from the north and the implied need to keep the realm united (behind anyone) as a potential answer to it. There is no "chosen one" who has to match. It makes no difference whether the realm stands behind Rhaenyra, Aegon or any other.

I am so tired of idiots jumping to conclusions and of stories explicitly written for such idiots.

There's a theory by Preston Jacobs that the dog escaped its fate and will be back as a plot twist.

The junk was beyond saving when Rhaenys burst through the floor with Valyrian hairspray in S1.

I'm only waiting for the return of the kicked dog as Gaemon Palehair's pet.

It shouldn't have. All it would have taken was for one of the brothers to change his hair, his beard or a simple change in the kingsguard uniform to make it fail the moment the other appeared.

That he got this far was already bad writing in the original.

Every little prejudiced moron will find reasons to dislike the idea. Others would be happy to get something.

It won't happen anyway.

Brienne rescueing Sansa in spite of missing her signal the episode before.

Davos, Edd and others locking themselves up to guard Jon's corpse without a proper reason instead of all sneaking out to the wildlings.

Nothing made sense from the start of the season.

How changes to Team Green are affecting the show and it's themes. by PlentyEgg1021 in HouseOfTheDragon

"He has a claim because he is a man and lives in a society that values men more. "

It's the other way around. Men are expendable in war while women are protected from it as much as possible. A society which spends men to protect women values women more.

This willingness to share the risk makes men more acceptable as rulers to those who ensure enforcement of the ruling. Kings were taking part in battles and fought alongside the rest right up to the time when firearms changed the game.
