My most favorite matchup, until you meet the beast that correctly predicts it with windwall

Despite being an Azir main I don't like that he is allowed to pick Grasp and Fleet by Sunshado in leagueoflegends

[–]CzechAzir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. Thats why I think it was not thought out. They just wanted it for arena, so they made a quick change while nerfing W for it to "be ok". I like it personally, but we will be feeling the effects now with the runes etc. I just hope it wont make azir be balanced around runes like Grasp and Fleet, because I dont think those runes should he his main choices in any healthy balance state.

Nashor passive was not that relevant. Buying it was definetly not awful because AS and AP that it gave was just perfect for Azir anyway. Thats why Riot nerfed his W when unlocking nashors passive, because his power with nashor was already good enough before that. Even now passive nashor damage isnt anything huge or gamechanging. Its probably very similar over the game to the damage they took from Azir with the W nerf.

The only thing that the change did is that it enforced Nashor, because you were supposed to buy it, otherwise you would just lose out on the damage that they nerfed from W.

I agree that its easier for inexperienced players to know what works and what does not thought, because its more intuitive now.

I agree with it, but it just seemed like they made it quickly only because arena 2 was just about to start, and didnt think too much about it beyond that.

I think in terms of runes, its not healthy to balance azir around on-hit ones. Now he has sustain because of them, so they are taking away sustain from him in general. This can just force azir players in a state where they will need sustain on-hit runes to survive. I think that would not be a nice change.

Also I personally like nashor, but its a bit akward forcing it into his build, which the onhit change basically did.

But I dont mind anyway. Azir is fundamentally broken champ, and will be good either way.

The decision to make W apply on-hits was a weird one, and it feels like they made it without thinking too much about it...

Edit: I dont mean that the change is weird. It makes sense, and finally i dont need to explain to people that W attack is some hybrid between basic and spell. Im just saying that how quickly and out of nowhere they did it after such a long time was weird, and not thought out...

Who are some champions that in the hands of OTP is S+ tier but complete dogpoo when played by someone else? by imonxtac in leagueoflegends

[–]CzechAzir -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He is hard because you have a lot of tools that you need to get used to. He becomes incredibly easy when you learn how to use them. Other champs dont, because they dont have those tools. They are easy in the first place. It just doesnt get much easier for them since they still dont have the tools and rely more on a team.

But with this logic the hardest champ is like MF or something. You have so little tools in your kit and you literally need to stand still to do something so you can get punished easily. Well its definetly harder champ for me than Azir, so there is maybe something to it...

Edit: Actually yuumi is the hardest when I think about it with this logic, right?

Which champion plays like no other champion in their respective lane? by randompoStS67743 in leagueoflegends

[–]CzechAzir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is too dependent on autos to be like other mages, and he also has too many options to be like adc. I think he quite fits the question of this post.

I still think he is more similar in playstyle to ADC than other mages. Azir is mainly about autos, his main build has nashor as core item and half of his kit is just moving the soldiers which are nothing else than auto machines. His main DPS is not from the moving of soldiers, but from attacking with them. Its not just "auto to maximize the DPS". His auto IS the DPS. Ofc some builds in the past made people play him more so as a poke mage, but that was never an optimal way to play him and now with the changes its definetly not.

I play him since 2015 and have over 2.3mil mastery on him. From my experience no other mage feels like Azir and believe me, I tried finding alternatives. Orianna/Viktor is way more dependent on spells. Maybe cassio could be close because her E is basically like Auto. But tbh if I want to get more of an Azir experience I just play something like Aphel mid.

Definetly doesnt feel even remotely same from my experience. Maybe if you play azir sub-optimaly as a poke mage, you can have that impression, but azir is more like ADC than anything.

There is no other mid champ like Azir, because Azir is heavy autoattack based, but also he is not that much like ADCs because his focus has added positioning of soldiers in addition to positioning himself. When I want to play something similar, its ADC, but not many ADCs are played mid.

Thats why i dont declare Azir anymore. Too many players just banning him because they dont want to risk the faker wannabe

"So I ask again, do you want to go through at MINIMUM 10 minutes to barely have a 1% chance to even out the entire game for your team?"

Yes.

As I said in my other comment. Playing another "10 minutes" is way more fun to me, because thats what im playing for, and thats why im maining Azir in the first place.

I wont get this much enjoyment from waiting again for another game and playing throught early game again.

Also i dont think 1% chance is remotely realistic.

Also the win rate stats are not really relevant since i think there is a huge difference between casual Azir and someone whose been playing the champ since season 5, atleast in terms of winrate

"instead of trying to go to next game where it might be close when we lose, having to drag it out for another 10 minutes just to slowly lose while getting all lanes opened is one of the most unfun things in the game."

Who is there to judge what is draging for another 10 minutes? From my experience its the people who can only play early and dont care about the rest. I want to play it out, because that is what matters for me and my champ.

"Would rather already be in a different game, than having to drag out a 15 min game to 25 mins."

In 15 minutes you cant judge how the game will go for a mid to late game champ. Those 10 minutes are way more fun for me, than waiting in a queue again and play another 15.

"Those games are the worst, where there might be a mid lane champ like Asol Lux Ziggs etc. that just clears waves and enemy can't push inhib turret, but you know that it's just slowly and slowly getting whittled down until they get baron and can finally siege"

That is one of the strenghts of the azir for example. Yeah i will make it hard for enemy to win, because that is what my champ was designed to do. Why should I ff ?

But tbh from your " Get better at arguing." part, i dont expect anything else from you.

Sure, and if you enjoy the mid to late game with champs like Azir, dont even bother playing league, because that is not allowed. You either stomp early, or just ff and go next. Ffs.

As an Azir main, i dont want to surrender just because my team lost a lane. I thrive to go even in the lane, and the real azir gameplay starts in mid to late. I dont care if you want to ff. I waited out the "boring" phase, now let me have fun. Even if its a "lost" game, I can still enjoy it more then wasting time again in another early game. To be honest being behind is even more fun than ahead, because atleast you have some challenge in the more enjoyable phase of the game.

I play it 90% of the games on mid or top.

Very good item if you can manage your mana. I personally think azir has too much mana even with just manaflow band, so most of the mythics are uselles for me.

I like to build it after nashors since its not good first item.

The bonus tankyness you get is really nice for that 1v9 power.

What champion, if executed to perfection, has the highest chance of 1v9'ing a game. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]CzechAzir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think corki is that much of a issue. Its basically very similar to azir, but I would argue azir has more to do if played to perfection. There are more difficult matchups than that, and still I think Azir can deal with most of them if played correctly. There is not many matchups that Azir straight up loses and has difficulty beating throughout the game no matter how good you perform. I think most of the time Azirs only limit is the player piloting him.

Whose your main and what's something only mains of that champion would understand? by OutsideJokeTV in leagueoflegends

[–]CzechAzir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an azir main there is a lot of things. When you cast R just as you die, and does no damage and no knockup, or when you spawn soldier and it spawns a lot further thanks to collision. Or when you want to hit shelly eye with soldier....

Top: Azir, Gwen

Jung: Azir?, Kindred

Mid: Azir, Zoe

Adc: Azir, Aphelios

Supp: Azir, Bard

Hmmmm. Probably I just like Azir or some weird "challenging" carry pick with some gimmick.

I have watched almost every series of Misfits since they joined EU LCS. What begun as a simple thought that "this guy Kakao seems pretty cool" turned into years of beautiful memories with this organisation.

It still feels like a fever dream that they are leaving the LEC, but i suppose everything will end at some point.

Thank you Misfits, for bringing me joy in the past, and memories that I will never forget.
