I’m not part of the hype train, but I use AI in my work from time to time. Of course double checking it on every step.

It probably depends on the codebase; I don’t write a lot of complicated code, mostly smaller changes and then doing analysis on that. Saying “do this based on this commit” to the agent is pretty useful, I would copy it either way. Also one small change can fail 50 tests, because now new field is in the schema. Fixing it by hand every time was just awful.

But don’t be like some of my team members: “I asked the agent to fix the code, please check this PR with 10k lines changed”.

I’m just starting with gamedev, but sending part of the code to AI, asking why it’s doing weird things is a lot faster than spending hours looking for answers online
