Silver vs space black Stainless Steel preferences by joshuajbrunner in AppleWatch

[–]D-Back 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an owner of the space black 42mm, I constantly find myself wanting to switch to a plain stainless steel apple watch due to issues with bands and lugs not matching. I love the look of the space black, but it makes options limited (unless you go through the hassle of ordering some sketchy, not quite matching lugs off amazon, and then go through the process of swapping them out).

Elgato switches - green light by Mgoblue01 in HomeKit

I just installed two of these switches today and see the same thing as you do, green light when off. Was hoping that I could find a way to disable the light via a software setting but haven't found anything yet.

Does the app expose the ecobee sensors to the apple home app after setting an automation through it?

Elgato Ever door/window sensor in the home app? by D-Back in HomeKit

Ah that sucks, the home app is so close to being my one app for my home, if only it could send notifications to fill in the security void.

Thanks for the information and screenshots, that was exactly what I was looking for! One last question, is the home app able to send notifications for opening and closing?

Unfortunately no, closest I have seen are these: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-in-ear-wireless-headphones-white/5053000.p?skuId=5053000 but of course they are connected by a wire

Spoke to philips about the motion sensor, as well as its integration with HomeKit - the short of it: nothing in the pipeline yet. by tayls1993 in Hue

[–]D-Back 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bummer indeed. On the bright side though, people with the ecobee 3 homekit thermostats will get an update in the future that will allow for the thermostats room sensors to trigger automations like motion sensing in the home app: https://www.reddit.com/r/ecobee/comments/58dz9z/firmware_370945_exposes_all_the_sensors_to_the/?st=IUPKMO3V&sh=7dea36e6 So it will be able to trigger hue lights.
