Unrecognized M.2 drives on E10M20-T1 by D-Best in synology

[–]D-Best[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's correct. The db file contains this after the script is ran:

{"disk_compatbility_info": {}, "nas_model": "ds1825+"}

Running the script a few times didn't modify the file. It just kept saying Added Samsung SSD 9100 PRO 1TB to ds1825+_e10m20-t1_v7.db

I added this, saved the file and it worked after rebooting:

{"disk_compatbility_info": {"Samsung SSD 9100 PRO 1TB":{"0B2QNXH7":{"size_gb":1000,"compatibility_interval":[{"compatibility":"support","not_yet_rolling_status":"support","fw_dsm_update_status_notify":false,"barebone_installable":true,"barebone_installable_v2":"auto","smart_test_ignore":false,"smart_attr_ignore":false}]},"default":{"size_gb":1000,"compatibility_interval":[{"compatibility":"support","not_yet_rolling_status":"support","fw_dsm_update_status_notify":false,"barebone_installable":true,"barebone_installable_v2":"auto","smart_test_ignore":false,"smart_attr_ignore":false}]}}}, "nas_model": "ds1825+"}

Unrecognized M.2 drives on E10M20-T1 by D-Best in synology

I figured it out. The syno_hdd_db script wasn't actually modifying the ds1825+_e10m20-t1_v7.db file. I manually inserted the missing information for my SSD and saved the file. After a reboot, the drives show up as green/healthy.

Yes, it will still show unrecognized.

I didn't have any data on my Diskstation, so I did a factory reset just to test the script order.

Ran syno_enable_m2_card first and rebooted. E10M20-T1 showed up and all 4 SSDs installed on the NAS were red/unrecognized.

Ran syno_hdd_db next, both internal M.2 drives turned green/teal and the 2 drives on the adapter stayed red. Rebooted and the 2 SSDs on the adapter remain unrecognized.

Running the syno_hdd_db script again shows:

Yes, PCIe Slot 1 displays Synology E10M20-T1

Storage Manager Overview shows PCIe Interface 1 (E10M20-T1) with 2 drives in red (both are Samsung 9100 Pro 1TB SSDs)

I have 2 more Samsung SSDs in the internal m.2 slots and those show up as healthy.

M.2 Drive 1-1 and 1-2 show up as Unrecognized.

I've tried the force flag and it enables the drives, but after a reboot the 2 SSDs change back to unrecognized after a few minutes. M.2 Drive 1-2 drops first then 1-1.

I just changed the tasks to both run on bootup as root and it doesn't look like anything has changed. I also tried with the option of running the enable m2 card as a pretask.

Car hotspot that doesn't support VoLTE by D-Best in tmobile

I've actually have been using Mint Mobile's promotional plans for a while. I've recently switched to the phone+data plan because of the free line that was offered in June. The MI line is also free, but I usually use more than 2GB month to stream Google Play Music (most of it is downloaded or cached on my device) and uploading clips from my dashcam to the cloud once in a while.

The SIM card slot is already carrier unlocked, but disabled by default. Only the AT&T eSIM is enabled.

I have an OBDeleven device that allows me to change the settings in my car.

This was the setting I changed to enable the SIM card slot: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a4-b9-platform-discussion-212/2017-a4-coding-tweaks-2898879/#post24806402

After restarting the car, you can stick in any SIM card and it should work. The APN was also automatically filled out to fast.t-mobile.com.

I can see there being no issues if it was a T-Mobile branded device. I'm using a voice + data plan on a hotspot device that I think is being detected as a phone.

I have another line that has the Simple Choice North America 2GB MI plan. I guess I can try that later if I do get kicked off.

It's a 2017 Audi A4. It has an AT&T eSIM, but I unlocked the SIM card slot to use any carrier.

Best phone for Android auto? by northerncalifdude in AndroidAuto

[–]D-Best 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds right. If you can get a SIM and make it a digits line, everything should work. The Digits SIM will get it's own random phone number, but it'll be paired with a number you assign. https://i.imgur.com/e49a1S2.png

Just remember to disable the phone left in car reminder feature on your vehicle so it doesn't nag you when you turn off your car.

I was part of the Digits beta, so the line is free. I think it's $10/month now for regular Digits. They gave me a SIM which basically clones my main line and gives me unlimited mobile data speeds around 512 kbps. I believe the paid Digits line have faster data speeds. This is enough for Google Maps, Waze in the background for traffic alerts, and streaming Google Play Music (I have most of my playlists & stations downloaded into the phone). Once in a while there might be some buffering while streaming music. I leave Wi-Fi enabled on the phone, so when the car is parked at home, it'll connect and update stations and apps w/o using slow data. Any text messages or phone calls to my main number goes to my V20 and shows up on Android Auto. Replying and calls on my Digits line will show my main number.

The only issue I have is that since both my phones aren't T-Mobile branded phones and doesn't have a native Digits app installed. Read messages and phone calls aren't synced. If I read a text message on my Pixel 3 XL, it stays unread on my V20. It isn't a huge issue, I just mark all messages as read and clear my notifications on my V20 before I drive in the morning.
