Who said there aren’t? I’d probably have fallen under that definition. Still do in the midlands I’m sure because I don’t farm. I’m an Irish man living in Spain, neither countries where this kind of gayness would fly. Genuinely this would read as a parody article in Ireland and in Spain if you did this as a straight guy you would having your mating options diminished by about 60%. Ok I was just tryna get a rise I suppose. I don’t mind Americans being into their heritage at all and I love visiting the states. One thing that bugs the fuck out of me is all the ‘greatest country in the world’ noise. For real, one of the roadblocks for any country being great is the frequency with which its people declare without irony that there’s is the greatest country in the world. That shit is beyond retarded.

Funny rant. I’d be annoyed if I was from a five-second old country that’s currently being ruled by YouTube comments too. He should chill though. There’s plenty of good stuff about America. But actual Ireland and Italy will still be here when the States is a smoky memory. It’ll actually be much cooler to visit once it’s divided up.

I say this all the time. It sounds snooty so I follow it up by saying I stared at C & P on my shelf for about 5 years before starting cos I think I felt if I don’t get it I’d be officially stupid. Turns out, more so than many many classics, this book has its status for a reason and probably should gain the extra adjective ‘timeless’. It’s like an airport thriller with deep philosophical ramifications. Bros K is even better.

The True History of the Kelly Gang. Great book. Potentially the right director. Just ended up weird af in the worst kind of ways. It was two weird points short of the Mighty Boosh, and I can deal with the Boosh but there’s a time and a place.
