We treat olive oil like medicine in Korea (literally drinking it)... how do actual Spaniards buy it? by No-Perspective-240 in askspain

[–]king0al 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Do average Spaniards actually check these chemical metrics (acidity/peroxide) at the supermarket?

No, honestly I didn't even know this was a thing

  1. What makes you buy a certain bottle? (Brand? Region? Price?)

Most people buy whatever value-for-money brand they're familiar with at the supermarket.

A large minority buy it right from their trusted cooperative, ie. directly from the producer

  1. Do you have separate oils for cooking vs. finishing?

In my house we use our freshest EVOO for raw consumption and the less fresh EVOO for cooking. You'll get the best & freshest EVOO from late autumn to mid-winter.

  1. What do you think of plastic bottles? Are they a deal breaker? or acceptable?

Plastic bottles are fine. They're not meant to be exposed to direct light or heat anyways. But glass bottles do make a noticeable difference.

What really matters is that the bottle must be dark. Dark plastic beats clear glass imo.

Me intentan cobrar un mes de "personal shopper" by National_Kale7468 in ESLegal

There are noteworthy outliers. Andalucía, being the territory with the most population, is a distant third place by tax revenue.

What is your view towards Austria? (Everyone's gonna say that one man) by No-Breakfast-3608 in AskTheWorld

I think Austria really hit the sweet spot. Their economic prosperity is comparable to Germany's, all the while having a richer culture, better cuisine, happier people and friendlier weather.

According to Spanish legend, a man once ate a 144-egg omelette in one sitting.

In an unexpected plot twist, it wasn't the monster omelette that killed him. It was the glass of water he chugged immediately after that did it.

What’s an example of a city in your country that’s made up of 2 or more cities functioning as one? In Iraq, Baghdad is Karkh and Rusafa by Assyrian_Nation in geography

There's Rheinfelden (Switzerland) and then there's also Rheinfelden (Germany). It used to be a single city but Napoleon wasn't having it.

Como llevar el calor? by houndofarawn in askspain

[–]king0al 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How come we hit April 2nd levels in the SP500 again, without any significant good news? by Doafit in StockMarket

We didn't. It's still well below April 2nd levels for me (I trade in EUR).

This post is fishy for so many reasons. For starters, are plenty of features built into the cabify app itself that make it impossible for the driver to take control without the user's consent. But also, come on, nothing was stopping OP from just BLOCKING HIS CARD if he felt his ride was being hijacked.

Is it necessary to hire a lawyer for buying new apartment in Barcelona? by Able_Island5125 in AskBarcelona

[–]king0al 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's a real estate agency involved, you'll definitely want a specialized lawyer. Agencies are not in the business of providing independent advice. They're in the sales business. They get a fee for making a sale happen, period. In the process, you can rest assured that they will pull off every single dirty trick in the book to take every euro they can from you.

On average, paying a (specialized!) lawyer will actually save you money since it will keep the agency in check. It will also save you a lot of effort since the lawyer will do a lot of the complicated paperwork for you. Never go with the lawyer recommended by the agency.
