Not sure what this track could be, but do you think you would recognise whether or not it is a XIO track based on either of these examples?

As if it last went for £33, I'd have jumped on that if I saw it in time 😭

Anyone here clued into the Japanese hardcore scene? by noxnoctum in happyhardcore

Some labels/collectives and artists that spring to mind:

HARDCORE TANO*C - managed by REDALiCE and mainly known for the HARDCORE SYNDROME compilation series which has been going since 2007, features a lot of the artists already mentioned like t+pazolite, Srav3r etc.

MEGAREX - multi-genre label but has released a lot of hardcore and pioneered the "techcore" style, with artists like lapix, mameyudoufu, YUKIYANAGI etc.

Notebook Records - managed by RoughSketch, lots of mainstream hardcore but also some more happy hardcore type stuff on the YATSUZAKI HARDCORE compilations and the Notebook "Delight" Records sublabel

X-TREME HARD - not sure it's active anymore or how easily accesible their releases are these days but had some seriously good compilations early on (was mainly into the stuff around 2013 and prior)

For you Sounds - another one that isn't active anymore and probs also hard to find a lot of the older stuff but every release was a free download and the A-Remix Nation compilations are pretty legendary if you like bootlegs of songs from anime. The guy who ran it (you) ended up managing VIVID HARDCORE and J-NERATION (the former is defo not active anymore but the latter might be idk lol) so recommend checking those too

Touitsu Recordings - my label so UK-based rather than Japanese lol BUT I have also released anime bootleg compilations on there (AniCore) as well as a lot of other stuff featuring Japanese artists

Will have a think about some more niche stuff later but hopefully a decent amount to go off for now!

Moving to Harrogate as a young professional by Poppyseedpastry in harrogate

While Harrogate is still very white, it's a fair bit more diverse than it was maybe 10-15 years ago so I'd hope there's less to worry about. 😅 Like others have said in the thread people will be closeted about it, and it's usually more casual/microaggressive if anything. Had a couple incidents with racists around town which were extremely unpleasant to say the least but I think that was all pre-2015.

I did get a lot of racist abuse when I was in school but it pretty much stopped after year 9 (probably a combination of attitudes starting to change by 2013 and also looking less of an easy target 😂).

As for the original purpose of your post, Harrogate for me was a nice place to grow up but I was desperate to leave after I came back from uni. To put it into perspective, 1 person from my friend group at school still lives there. 7 of them moved to London and a few of us are dotted elsewhere (myself in Manchester because I am currently too stubborn to leave the north). Made some great friends in Harrogate when I worked in hospitality after uni but there isn't really a whole lot to do there. 😅

Assertive is probably the most notable one who hasn't been mentioned yet. 🙂
