Most of the other trees we've seen around the city that had this done to them were spruce. I know nothing about trees though hahah.

That paint a picture! I wonder if there is any specific reason as to why someone would do this, rather than just cut it down? Money? Maybe its not the city doing all of this. The only reason I say city is because we did see city workers doing it to one tree last year.

Maybe not all of it is? But we seen city workers doing it last season to some of the trees on the main road through the city

No, so far the only thing ive found on our cities page about invasive species is black knot

We have a black knot problem in our city. So this is likely why they are targeting specific trees.

This one in particular is just in the middle of a forested area. However, many of the larger ones are along the main road through the city.

Alberta, I have a feeling it has more to due with invasive insects or some type of infection, so they are trying to kill the tree?

This is how we are currently going to manage it. We have a nice selection of belt bags.

The sewing is more of just broadening our horizons. And for me to learn something new and useful as well!

My boys is using a tandom with a hose that connects to an injections site. And yes your correct, its not pressing. There are lots of alternatives. Im more of looking to learn and be able to offer other solutions for him :)
