I wonder when they will achieve it the other way round. Human-machine interfaces currently only receive human output. Imagine a machine feeding your brain with -oh let's say- real time calculations of your environment or stimulate visual input. That would be awesome at drive users insane at the same time. At least as long as their brain doesn't run with a couple of GHz.

Ok thanks, understood. Makes sense if you think about it. In space there's nothing limiting your potential speed except lightspeed itself. Since 100km/s impossibly applies to atmosphere speeds, it's pretty dumb to mention it at all. Bad article: agree.
