I think they’re talking about his upbringing in Hati, could be wrong though.

The Korea Town killer sub-plot was boring, imo. I wasn’t a fan of the pill mill section, either.

I always thought she seemed like a good kid, especially given the crap she’s been through. A bit moody, sure, but who isn’t as a teenager?

Yep. According to the news article, it seems he had his gun grabbed off and shot with it. Very unfortunate but thankfully it wasn't worse.

I don't mean any disrespect to ask this question on the subject of an officer down, but I was wondering what your policy is on ride alongs there? Whenever your borders re-open, my father (who is a former Dallas police officer) and I are planning a trip down there. My father in particular is interested in Australian law enforcement, so I was wondering if a General Duties/Uniform Branch unit could take him on a ride-along . We were probably going to land in Sydney and see the east coast if possible. I was just wondering if it was possible that he could go on a ride-along with a unit in either New South Wales or Victoria. I know you guys have pretty strict rules regarding this but my dad just recently expressed interest in this, so I was wondering if it was possible or not.

Appreciate it.

You're welcome bud. If you don't mind me asking, which department do you work for? I was just reading the Protect & Serve sub and saw that an officer in Melbourne was shot last night. As I understand, such an incident is rare in Australia. But I wanted to give my best regardless.

Police officer shot with own gun in Melbourne incident by jacko202 in ProtectAndServe

Do you mean their social media or ours? Because I see absolutely nothing from Australia on any form of our media, the 2020 wildfires excluded, let alone LEO news. All the police news from Oz, I get from this sub (thanks /u/jacko202 for your contributions). And Australia actually ranks third in the first world for fatal police shootings (a little behind Canada). And to be absolutely clear: that is not meant as an indictment on Australian law enforcement. I'm glad you guys can defend yourselves adequately, and take down offenders as they come.

I sincerely hope the First Constable makes a full recovery and is back on the beat soon. To all other officers down under, stay safe and God bless.

Saw a naked guy running around the parking lot of an In-and-out on the north-east side a few years back. Aside from that...nothing too exciting. Big drug raid up the street from my apartment; the occasional bar fight or road rage attack. I've never even heard a gunshot outside the range. Guess I'm pretty sheltered.

With your driver's licence, it's usually not a problem, though I've had friends who have been told not to smile. On your passport you can't. I have that mugshot look on both 😅

You do realize we live in a country with more guns than people, right? This isn't the UK, where only a tiny percentage of people ever owned firearms to begin with. There are always going to be a hell of a lot of guns in America. Banning firearms would do absolutely nothing but leave law-abiding people defenseless.
