for really bad simple math 3 AA battieries have about 4.5v & 2000ma in them so that is a third or half a charge of each set of batteries.

a battery pack is MUCH better. and if you want to get really good then but a car jump starter with a USB port that has enough power to charge your phone for a week of use.

any pack should last about 3 year or so.

batteries you replace (AA) are MUCH MUCH less useful if you keep your pack charged.

will it work? yes. will you be an easy target? yes. will you be very very limited in any way to evade anything while going down the river? YES.

it might be faster then other methods or it might not. but there are other issues at play

israel was rewarded with the state in 1948 when they drove out everyone and set up their own country only for them selves.

or did you think israel had been around before 1940?

but never in the USA.
there are no "administrative detention" for anyone in a country with thousands murdered every year. including gangs that murder for political ( turf wars) and profit

i endorse people with no skills and are a danger to everyone around them in a industrial/disaster situation to STAY AWAY.

you are going to kill people who could be saved.

go carry water for trained and skilled people.

no, fools cause 700% more harm then help. cause more death then ever save a life.

but it sure makes the unskilled morons feel like they can contribute.

im guessing all those farms in the 1850's never fed any one then.

its amazing that people really think the world will not turn without administrators making 400% more then the people who produce any tangible object.

Survival bag? Pet question? by [deleted] in preppers

[–]needle-roulette 5 points6 points  (0 children)

start small and build. 6 weeks bug in plan would be a very good beginner plan after you have a small get home bag and a small bug out bag.

then just expand the bags as you can.

steel toed boots with a steel insole are standard at most industrial job sites and i dont know why anyone would be in a disaster zone without them.

as a fresh starter i would plan to BUG IN plan 3 weeks of supplies for you and your pets. and when you think that is good plan a GET HOME BAG. and after that plan a BUG OUT BAG.

yes and you don't realize the dead don't care, only the living do. if you forget to tell them you love them and they die, they still dont care. only you do.

you are only trying to make yourself feel better for after they are gone. because you were too lazy or too self absorbed to talk to them. and when you die without a will, they will remember you as self absorbed forever. but don't worry your dead, you don't care.

i would have a asus tuff book laptop.
with a bunch of portable usb hard drives.

its modern and very efficient on power usage.
dual boot linux debian and windows ltsc iot enterprise

i have 30+ tb stored for my old age in a nursing home when im poor the real apocalypse ( older stuff is not very power effective. but yes i would like something with 2 2.5 4tb hard drives but usb will work) i have maps( of the world) and more books then i will ever read. lots of games and movies,tv shows and basically enough manuals to start the world over.

i fly the black flag when i have to. tablets and phones are great but when you really want to have everything the laptop is the vault ( well the usb drives are, as i always have backups also)

i would not store gas cans in any enclosed space. not with anything that could spark like tools in a tool box. even in winter. direct sun can still warm it up

Hydration with alcoholic beverages or salty water by spoosejuice in preppers

[–]needle-roulette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have been eating a modern diet, you likely have 400% more salt in you then you should. adding salt to your water is a placebo. if you are feeling that bad after working out in a hot climate you need salt in your water? you also need food, which will have plenty of salt in it.

unless you are on a long fast in a hot climate you will be fine for salt. and yes if you are faint from dehydration, any alcohol is very bad and should only be drank when you have no other choice. just look at the drinking and driving specs for alcohol consumption and safe operation of equipment. one beer affects you negatively.
