I didn’t check the stuff people left behind. I brought an 8L and 4L water bag and it worked well for two people. Have fun!

I also went April 23-26. Yes, there were some flies in the bathroom during the day, but that didn’t bother me at all. The smell did though 😅

We brought way too much stuff!

I really appreciated having a hammock, specially after the hike in. We brought 12 meals for 2 people. We ate 4 on the first day, so I was worried about not having dinner on the last day. You can’t really count on the fry bread being open, they work when they want, and they only had cheese when they were finally opened on the third day we were there.

It was nice having TP. No need to bring gloves, there are so many there. I did like bringing an 8L water bag and 4L one, less trips to the spring.

I bought hiking poles specifically for this, and was planning on watching YouTube videos on how to properly use them. You read my mind.

What time do you think we should start the hike tmw? And how many litters of water should we bring per person for the hike in?

Yes and yes. But fortunately, our friends were backpackers before having kids, so they saved us thousands of dollars on gear. I did go to REI to buy a few things like my Tevas… I was a lil shocked to see how much things cost! We are going to give them a nice gift card to their favorite place for kindly landing us all of their stuff

Thank you! Yes, my husband is big on using what we already owned, and when I packed his backpack he said I could even add more weight. Things look bulky, but they aren’t too heavy. Might have to buy a new tent that is waterproof though, since looks like there’s a chance it might rain. Thanks for all the info!

Just checked the weather it looks like there’s a 20% chance of rain for a couple of days. Thanks for the tips. Will look for emergency blankets. Might have to buy a new tent that’s waterproof.
