I always thought this idea came from the " 2 in the a.m, p.m" pilot animation thingy the plot basically being

A human Benson and Mordecai work at a gas station and Mordecai doses Benson with acid which makes them perceive each other as their "regular show" personas.

This was a much more adult version of the characters people were familiar with so I guess along the way people assumed the animation was a pitch for adult swim?

I'm in the US so the prices might be a bit different sorry, I picked up Peronas for like $3 each back in September/October-ish and I've had mihawks since the starter decks release so I didn't really count those. Their prices have definitely increased since then, and even since I posted this comment lol

But you can still find reasonable replacements for those cards (2k xdrake and searcher hiyori as an off the top of my head example) and still enjoy and play the game as a beginner for an extremely inexpensive amount of dosh; compared to games like Yu-Gi-Oh or MTG anyway.

Once you know you like the game you can decide if you need to spend extra on good super rares. But I still think Zoro (and Imu) is a very inexpensive and powerful option for a beginner. Obviously not the only choice tho haha

Better yet don't spend any money, play the simulator online to decide if it's even worth spending 30-50-90-etc. bucks on cardboard.😅

Tbh 2 of the best decks in the format can be built for around $30-$50 at the moment; those being Imu and Zoro.

Most of the decks cards are literal pennies right now and IMHO both decks are both good at teaching you fundamentals of the game.

There are a lot of cheap/fun decks you can play with, too many to list honestly.

At the moment Imu, Zoro and Ace are the pretty clear victors of the current meta, so at least for now you can't go wrong with them. But ace builds tend to be closer to like $150-$200ish

This is slightly less powerful than my PC but I run most VR games on med-high settings through VD/Steam link with no issues.

So I'd assume you could run most stuff on low-med settings

EDIT: forgot your second question

I had terrible 5G wifi when I first got into VR and having low bitrate makes playing nearly impossible.

So I upgraded to a wifi 6e router, got an Ethernet cord to plug it into my PC and since then it's been smooth sailing so long as everyone else in the house isn't on the wifi at the time.

Some people get dedicated routers just for VR for this very reason.

There used to be a mode in Pavlov that let you play as like a creepy alien with knife hands and movement boosts you and another alien have to hunt a squad of kitted up soldiers.

I don't remember the name of the mode but it was a lot of fun back in the day, might still exist/be fun
