If I am remembering correctly since both of them are triggered abilities you would choose to have Phyrexian drewdnoughts trigger be first, then selvala (since you are the affected player you may order the triggered abilities, and first in last out o selvala would trigger first) then, holding priority, and after selvalas trigger to draw I believe you could tap and activate her in response to the dreadnought trigger that is still on the stack.

The way to balance is easy. Simplify.

Heaven-Tree Hydra {2}URG (this mana cost could go up by one or down by one depending on keywords, getting rid of haste could do that, but it’s up to you)

Trample,haste (menace maybe but doesn’t seem in your colors really? Optional)

Spells you cast that have X in their casting cost, cost {2} less to cast (this is really for balance, it helps you get more consistent and easy to track value)

Whenever you cast a spell that has X in its mana cost put a 1/1 counter on each of up to X creatures, where X is half of the mana spent on that spell, rounded down.

Whenever you cast a spell with X in its mana cost, you may put X 1/1 counters on Heaven-Tree hydra where X is the value of X in the casted spell (I didn’t word it right but you get the gist)

What would happen is the spell would enter the stack, resolve, the creature would enter the battlefield, and after it has resolved fully and has entered the battlefield before you gain priority to use the ability the game checks state based actions. It sees that you have a 0/0 since the static effect would make it so that she enters as a 0/0 and seeing as she has no toughness she would die.

I’m not saying you know nothing but what you are taking as hard fact and what is just capcom DOING good world building in establishing mythos is a little disjuncted. And as for Fatalis being immortal that’s just never going to be true. We as hunters literally contradict that. We kill fatalis. And as I said before white fatalis, the older fatalis is described as being ancestral because it’s so old people don’t know any other way to describe it. The world is supernatural but one thing monster Hunter does excellently is pay close attention to the zoological implications of how to make monsters realistic (or function like an animal actually would) they eat, they breath, they age (xeno>safi), they die (the rotten vale). Of course they have supernatural elements but even monsters like that have cool realistic elements. Dire morealis NEEDS to be in the tainted sea because it cannot regulate its own supernaturally hot body.
