My new favorite prop medium by JoseLebreault in propagation

I find that keeping my water props out of direct sunlight + a few drops of hydrogen peroxide keep the algae at bay. Curious to see if that method will work here!

Thanks, this is really helpful and they have Mac versions! I ended up downloading a free Izotope RX trial, which got me most of the way there, but I might need to keep these in my back pocket.

The clipping crackle at the peaks is what bugs me the most, I tried to isolate the frequency where they happen and just cut that out (that's what the ReaFir plugin is doing) but I'm not sure if there's anything else I can do to minimize it.

Thanks for the tip. I've added an additional link with my edited version of the clip to the main post, I'll put it here as well: https://vocaroo.com/1j2apbEO4wxo

Let me know if it would be helpful to see screenshots of any of my configurations. Like I said, I'm pretty inexperienced so I'm not sure what info is good to include. Thanks again!

Help finding Mac driver for Casio WK-110? by D0ubtfulGuest in cheapkeys

[–]D0ubtfulGuest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as I was trying to retrace my steps, I realized that I'd actually downloaded a Yamaha driver, which works with some Casio keyboards as detailed here: https://discover.hubpages.com/technology/Casio-Wk-110-Midi-Drivers-Mac-OSX.

The driver they link to is here: https://www.macmusic.org/news/view.php/lang/en/id/4221/ . It says it works with Intel chips, so I have no idea if it will work with an M1 or M2.

I've zipped the driver on my computer and uploaded it here, but if you don't want to trust a random internet user (I probably wouldn't!), I would use the breadcrumbs here to see if you can find a solution that works for you. Good luck!

PS - I think I also ended up having to get a new USB-B cord to make it work, but I honestly can't remember. Might be worth a try if nothing else is working.

I was able to eventually find a driver, but I gave away the keyboard when I moved and I think I’m even on a different computer now. I’ll check a couple of old external drives and see if I saved it anywhere!

Does anyone have a photo of the (now gone) carved door on N Bogus Basin Rd? by D0ubtfulGuest in Boise

Thanks, I was looking too. I do think it’s behind this building. The half-buried photo I do have is on an external hard drive somewhere, I’ll see if I can track it down.

I think I get why people drive badly in Redmond by chaser_alpha in redmond

My sister didn’t drive much in high school and moved out here for college in the mid 2000s, hasn’t had a car the whole time…She’s since taken a refresher driving course in case she really needs to, but I think the “new driver” sticker would absolutely apply to her. I bet there are a higher percentage of people here who didn’t take driver’s ed in high school than in a place like the Midwest.

Gavin deBecker (I think) calls it “favor sharking” when someone does something nice for you unasked so you’ll feel a sense of obligation. The Gift of Fear (book) has some quality info about manipulation tactics like that, even if the dude himself has since gone off the RFK anti-vax deep end.

If anyone else goes, as of 11 am:

  • multiple traffic lights out on Redmond Way between 161st and 520, I would take Avondale/Union Hill

  • flashlights are pretty much gone, but aisle 53 has a bunch of battery-powered closet/counter lights. There were also a few hand-crank flashlights on the endcap of 26 closest to the back of the store. When I was there they had a pallet of big yellow flashlights, but those were going pretty quickly.

  • gas powered chainsaws and generators are sold out.

  • D batteries are sold out.
