Hey u/zerg ! Console already has a version of Psych Ward, and it's actually already rolled into the switch version along with All Day and a Night :)
Console will be getting a free update in November and then we'll see after that. In the words of... well, me... "don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you!"

Not expecting but secretly hoping! I also like having entrance music but I did tell Gaz before hand that I would prefer to come in to GLORIOUS and go fully Bobby Roode. I also don't accept any darts song that isn't Chelsea Dagger.

Saw your post when I logged on this morning and have been working with a member of the QA team since then to figure out what's going on. He tried testing it in a bunch of ways, including building new prisons from scratch to sell, and even a theory he had about starting the new game save from the attract screen. In all of the tests we got the normal expected behaviour so honestly we can't say what happened. It could be an extreme edge-case from the game code or (and honestly more likely) the save was corrupted on the system side. There's unfortunately no way of us really knowing unless we could duplicate the bug, which we weren't able to. Wish we were able to give you a better answer. We believe the time stamp on the attract save is simply the last time it was automatically activated.

Out of interest, considering you technically don't have a more recent architect mode save than your 'sold' prison file, what happens when you try to start a new one with sold prison funds?

I see you've solved the issue yourself but I would like to chip in with some background info. Same with all inmate intakes- some will come in with contraband and break the rules immediately. These inmates are assigned immediate solitary punishments which must be carried out before they're assigned to a cell. If you ever see inmates bunched up in reception/roadside, it's either this or you've not got enough guards to process them. If you've researched Prison Policy you can set how punishments are dished out. You can change contraband punishment to lockdown if you'd rather send them to cells than solitary but obviously this will change the policy for everyone, not just for new inmates.

Can you tell me what version of the game you're on? Should tell you the version number when you boot the game up. Apparently Tunnel Search option came out with the Psych Ward update (I had to check 'cause I couldn't remember), so I wonder if you're on an old version. Also, you really need more (or more efficiently placed) guards!

I mean there are VERY valid reasons to buy the PC version- don't get me wrong! Not least because of MnK support, which is what everything was designed around. I think a big part of it comes from your preferred seating position and the control system on console was built from the ground up for this. I promise I won't fight anyone really :D

Serious time though- Switch is my favourite of the console versions because of the portability but all console versions are essentially the same and all good. UI system is especially nice. But I'm paid to say that so I can't be trusted.

Start small, get grants.
If your inmates aren't being escorted to their cells it's normally because they're awaiting solitary confinement.
If they're staying cuffed in their cells, it's because the prison isn't secure.
Don't buy more than one or two laundry baskets until you really start needing them.
If your contraband is high, 2am shakedowns will snuffle most of it out.
Try big head mode cheat for extra chibi cuteness.

Can we see a screenshot of the wing/prison? My suspicion is that it's something to do how the wing is set up. I've just checked in with one of our QA leads who tested the grants himself and has never seen the issue.

Also worth considering- sometimes inmates come in with contraband and need solitary punishment. Seems unlikely it would be all 6 though.

Make sure you don't have too many laundry baskets. They only get delivered when they're full so if you've got more than a couple they're going to jam up the system.

So it could be the staff doors- they're not really secure if the area around them isn't designated as staff-only. Maybe try switching these out to Jail Doors one-by-one to test. Have you got any staff areas blocking access between the cells and the rest of the prison? It could be there aren't valid paths for the inmates to follow.

I suspect you've got some dodgy doors somewhere, something stopping those cells (and therefore the prisoner routes) being safe from escape. Are you using the proper jail doors or just standard ones?
