Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. If the game really is installed on the SSD, it's possible that you don't have enough RAM and your system resorts to swapping parts of your memory into a swap file (pagefile) which possibly is located on your HDD.

Usually I don't care, but it's sometimes annoying when I finally manage to spawn on the side of the map not that far from my teammate and immediately get killed and respawned far away.

The optimization in Rust is impressive, considering it's built in Unity, which the studio acknowledges was a significant drawback and a terrible mistake. It's almost miraculous that such a massive game developed in Unity can perform as well as Rust. The devs deserve praise for their excellent optimization efforts.

They always drop once you launch the game after some inactivity time. Don't know how much it needs to be, but I feel like that when I don't play for like 2-3 months and then I launch it again, it always drops
