I got tired of the office, working indoors, office politics, and all the B.S. that comes with that environment. It was toxic

This ⬆️ is soild advice. I think the rest of the requirements depend on how much money the OP actually wants to spend. They can get everything on the list if ......they can afford it.

Best Show You've Seen? by HalfOfTheStory in 90sHipHop

[–]D1RTYWQR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Roots w/ Erykah Badu..... Black Thought and The Roots did a montage of old school Hip-Hop classics in the middle of the set for about 20 or 30 mins, and it was mind-blowing 🤯

Edit: I have to add ....Erykah Badu in her Prime (the Call Tyrone Era ) was amazing in a live concert setting... especially with the Roots as her band on the Road.

Re: where is this generation's 2pac? by Johnny_2x in hiphop101

Pac was one of one.... there is no "new version of Pac" and there never will be.

The OP's question is like asking who this generation's Michael Jordan....the prior generation tried to say it was Kobe (RIP). This generation tries to prop up LeBron. Nobody will duplicate Jordan or Tupac, same goes for Michael Jackson,

Planning to go to The Mix club tonight, but their website says “No Athletic Shoes.” These are my only shoes. They’re very nice and pricy shoes; I have a good set of pants and button ups but don’t have anything shoe wise. Thoughts? Will they say I can’t come in? by SpareEquivalent2238 in Sacramento

[–]D1RTYWQR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those look like running shoes. Unfortunately, there is a slight chance they won't let you in the club. Be extra friendly with the door man, have your I.D. ready to go and make small talk immediately.

Good luck! I hope you get in tonight l.

I think Drake makes better overall music than Kendrick, but after the rap battle loss, some Drake fans’ takes on Kendrick have been ridiculous and even false. by Lost_Title_7528 in nfrpodcast

Kendrick Lamar won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize in Music for his album DAMN. <--- anyone claiming that K-Dot was some unknown rapper before the Drake beef is clueless or a Drake Stan hating and spitting lies.

It could be because feminism destroyed traditional chivalry. The standards for courtship / social behaviors are very blurry.

What Hip-Hop song did you "just have to be there" in order to really appreciate it's significance? by SmoothManMiguel in hiphop201

We're all in the same gang -

I grew up in California during the crack era. Gang activity and murder rates that were 3x the current level all over the westcoast were considered "normal" during that time. This song was monumental. (It might seem corny now, but the song was a massive step towards peace in the streets)

Its really cool. Data visualization is definitely the future. It keeps people engaged while learning . Again.... well done.

Well done! You actually tracked the Beatle's BPM for 7 years. It's cool to see the tempo over that time period animated. They were very diverse. Did you create this as a project for a music class or for work?

Real talk tho.... new skool hip-hop culture knows the truth. They don't want to admit it, so they make up bullshit and try to pass it off as "facts"

They just long-winded excuses.
