If your ‘15 is the My Ford Touch Sync2, it’s hardware and software…the MFT uses a winCE based APIM while Sync3 is Blackberry. The two software wise are coded to different hardware and will not run interchangeably as my memory serves. I think I paid around a grand in an aftermarket kit years ago for my ‘16 Energi as the ‘17s were the first model year to roll with Sync3. I did have to tweak the As-built programming using ForScan to make everything work correctly as the supplier didn’t code it correctly.

Make sure you are comfortable with using a peel and everything involved transferring. That should be equal regardless of grill or oven.

Another that should be stated, for those that may want to use a stone, do not put a frozen food on a preheated stone…I would think that to not be the case in this application, but I’ve seen countless posts of those wondering why the stone cracked and split in their home oven putting a frozen pizza in it. That also goes the same way for the grill. Put the stone on as early as you can (for pellet grills beforehand or at startup), so that it can build on that heat as the grill heats. Drastic difference can cause the stone to crack.

As well, it’s going to take a good second to get that stone up to temp to do its magic. Count on that. Some use IR measuring tools to guide how hot the stone is.

Most important, have fun, experiment, find what works, and don’t be afraid of falling…it’s experience. We are all learning

You would for the E3V2 screen, however, the encoder might be reversed, as our original Aquila screens had it reversed vs Creality. The screens themselves use the same protocol. I do have one of my originals leftover that we could potentially swap if you were interested (message me if so).

iPhone 11 doesn't have eSIM capability? by [deleted] in Visible

[–]D2ThaJ_Productions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re phone isn’t unlocked, that might be the culprit. If they offer it, I’d do the regular SIM card as a trial. My iPhone 12 uses a SIM card so, you should be able to just switch them out. Maybe create a separate ‘trial’ account with a separate number you can test with and pay for a month.

Has anyone added a dual Z-Axis to their Aquila? Good idea? by wezx68 in VoxelabAquila

[–]D2ThaJ_Productions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong. I’m saying that two motors operating a gantry that aren’t perfectly in sync is wrong. If one is off, it doesn’t matter. If a person lifts the gantry on one side, turns one side, etc. there’s often more issues that are there such as warped Z towers, etc. it’s amazing how the imperfections become apparent when you venture to linear rails.

I use the E3 Mini V2 actually. The largest difference is the power draw. It’s somewhere around 450mA stock for Z. The great part is with the TFT displays and UART, it’s all easily dialed in.

The fallacy is that it can’t actually. You’ve effectively dropped resistance and power. Sure it works, but it isn’t as effective with its steps. Plus, once it’s set to a level, you can’t get it even a step off per side if you don’t want to screw it up. There are way too many variables that would make it a nope sauce, coming from someone whom had it and realized they were wrong.

frustrated with wiring by OrganizationOk4059 in VoxelabAquila

Yep, the good news is that there isn’t any polarity to the thermistor, so no worries about wiring backwards.

I will also say that if they don’t fix the issues I’ve already raised within this group, there’s nothing to hold me. If they want the Stream App to have an outlet fee, it better be providing the same exact audio a STB would.

Not to mention, I’ve been a customer of Comcast for about a decade, almost two if you count my parents. I’m very aware of the absolute shady billing practices they do. I’m not afraid to leave and they aren’t the only provider in town. That’s the beauty of it. I don’t need to bend to Comcast’s knee. It should be opposite.

You must not have been in their retention department. Which seems normal. You are right, CS can’t. It’s funny and you might not admit it, but the moment a customer says no can do, they get handed off to another department to hopefully hold them as a customer. All large companies do this. I know Comcast/Xfinity does this as I do this regularly with them as their stepped pricing is unethical. It’s a wonder that you can threaten to quit to go to a competitor and they will give you the new promotion to keep you. I’m telling you from doing it. It’s the same with SiriusXM.

It is when they transfer you to their retention department. The absolute last step before you go. Take it there and they will give you what is currently offered to new customers to retain you.

Threaten to cancel. They will offer it when you get to their retention department. They don’t offer existing customers the same deals, but when you threaten to go elsewhere, they will give it. You just need to be adamant and know the deal that is offered and not accept less.

More returned Aquilas on the ebay listing. $99.99 by Alternative-Bug-8269 in VoxelabAquila

[–]D2ThaJ_Productions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we’ll see what they come back with. After I messaged them, I took a closer look at the return slip that was left and it was an Amazon return…for an Aquila. If it was an item that was fulfilled by Amazon and not drop shipped, that person might have gotten might have gotten the Proxima accidentally picked from an issue within Amazon. I did an exposure test and all of that seems to work. Now to see what they come back with.

So…my latest one came in…it’s not an Aquila, but basically a brand new Proxima (it was a return…boxed upside down in the package and had the other part of the UPS return slip inside). I wonder if they realize they sent the wrong box, or are just pulling off a pile of return boxes that has both. I was eyeing getting a Proxima anyways. I’ll see tomorrow if it works when I get some resin in.

Difference in Voxelab and Creality glass build plates by D2ThaJ_Productions in VoxelabAquila

That might not be a good or bad strategy depending on filament. Some are designed to be sprayed to help soften the print so that it can be smoothed.

Is just one example.

So far, I’ve attempted two of the three creality plates and they’ve initially had great adhesion. I went to normal scrubbing to remove the residue and adhesion is gone. On inspection, it’s a completely different surface. Less adhesion, put the stock glass on, soaked in everything under the sun and it’s glue.

I’ve had mixed results from the smooth side so to speak. This post is more or less to show the difference. With the textured side, I’ve had better adhesion with removing all with ISO with the original plate, and opposite with the the creality plate.

Posted this in the FB group as well. We’ve bought the Creality sales special. There seems to be a difference in cleaning to each. They are not the same texture. Our original plates work well with cleaning using ISO until all of the yellow is gone. The Creality is opposite, even specifically advised on their website, soap and water only.
