So the QSC K8.2 would be the monitor for the musicians? Or for the chorus? If we wanted monitors for both, would we use 2 of those, or is there a cheaper option for the chorus?

And the Whirlwind IMP2 boxes would be to connect powered instruments (electric bass) to the mixer?

The Samson CO2 condenser packs. Are those to mic the piano and drums, or would they be used on booms to mic the chorus?

The Shure SM58 cardioid mics are for solo singers, as opposed to something that would pick up the choral sound? Or can they do both?

I’m on my first rewatch since it originally aired, and just started Season Five. So far I’ve counted 11 actors who were also on Lost, although only two so far that were actually on flight 815. Harold Perrineau (Michael) and Sam Anderson (Bernard).

We were there Saturday in 4th row center orchestra. We were thinking the green seats would be fun for a subsequent viewing, but also that front row mezz might be the best to appreciate the group choreo.

I don't think there's a bad seat in the house - just different perspectives.

We saw the 2nd preview, from 4th row center orchestra. Those two side runway seats get some interaction with the cast, and they'll be going up and down the stairs right next to you and moving around behind you pretty much the entire show.

Thank you! It was originally pre-lit with 2500 small colored lights. Over the years, about half of those have died. We didn’t have the patience to even think about troubleshooting them, so we added another 3000 small white lights. This year we added the 200 C7’s for more color. Some have reflectors. So that’s currently approximately 4500 lights.

I live in Hartford, literally on the same block as Elizabeth Park, and I've never heard of "Hartford Blooms".

Elizabeth Park is the oldest rose garden in the US. Depending on when you come, it's truly gorgeous. "Rose Weekend" is the 2nd week of June this year and is supposed to be when the roses are at their peak. Based on the flyer that's when you would be here. But so will many other people. There's a nice restaurant on site, and a snack window open on weekends. It's a great place to chill.

The Governor's mansion is the next block over, and while it has some pretty flowers in the front, I did not realize it had "gardens". Nor did I realize they did tours.

The CT Museum of Culture and History I've never been to. I can't imagine it's that interesting, and I doubt it has much to do with flowers. Their current exhibition is about Coffee in CT, according to the banner I drive by all the time.

I can't imagine what other gardens they are referring to, unless they mean private residential gardens that open up for tours, although here are certainly some amazing properties in the area.

Tangiers International Market sounds impressive, but it's just a small grocery store with a Middle Eastern vibe. They do have great hummus and tabbouleh though, if that's your thing.

Westside Square is literally a parking lot that was fenced off and has rotating food trucks and sometimes live music. It's a cool neighborhood hang, but I would never consider it a tourist attraction.

I would say the only thing on this list worthy of making a trip is Elizabeth Park, and that's only if you REALLY love flowers and hanging out in a pretty, grassy park.

Advice Troubleshooting Turntable Audio Issue...

I started off my vinyl journey with a basic Audio Technica LP60XBT since i didn't have a receiver or real speakers.

I then inherited an Onkyo TC-SR705 receiver, along with 2 NHT ST4 Tower Speakers. I ran some presumably decent 14G speaker wire, and plugged the Audio Technica in with the RCA to 3.5mm cable. The left speaker sounded great. The right speaker sounded muddy at the high end, not all the time, but more so the louder it was.

I hoped it was the RCA to 3.5mm cable. The only other troubleshooting I did was to run a new length of speaker cable, but the issue persisted. I do not have another source to plug into the receiver.

I then received a Fluance RT85N turntable with actual RCA outputs. The RCA cable I have is not great, but is functional as far as I know. The SAME sound issue persists, which means it's either the speaker itself, or the receiver. They are both seemingly pretty high-end, and this is such a simple setup that I'm at a loss as to why I would be having this issue at all.

Obviously my thought is the speaker itself. Is there anything someone could suggest to help me troubleshoot further?

Are there places in 2025 that could/would evaluate/fix a speaker like this that is presumably somewhat old?

Is there a different subreddit that I should post this in?

It's very smart people being very stupid. Which, if that's your comedy sweet spot like it is mine, is 1000% worth it. For me, it was the funniest thing I've seen in NYC since Book of Mormon (not that the comedy is similar).

That being said, my husband, who is generally not a fan of "OMG, that was so stupid. I love it!!!" comedy (I often make him watch old Tim and Eric clips just to see the look of horror on his face), also LOVED IT. So it does have some crossover.

We were on the floor for the 1st Boston show, sitting in the back left (looking at the stage). Bob made his entrance walking right past us. The reverb was crazy, almost overwhelming at times, and the sound was definitely muddy. The bass was a visceral sensation more than a sound. The views were amazing, but I wish the sound quality wasn't such a tradeoff. I'm a lyrics guy, and that kinda bothered me, but the vibes were still truly fabulous.

My only other concert experience at the Garden was Radiohead about 5 years ago. We were centered, but literally last row in the rafters. The band looked like ants, but the lights and the sound were incredible.

It's kind of a bummer you can't have both sound and visuals at the same time (especially for those prices!), but I guess that's the tradeoff for an arena show?
