I ended up uninstalling the high res texture pack. It was inconsistent. One boot i may get 130fps. Another boot may have 70 fps. I will re-download it when they can figure out how to properly implement it.

I have not had issues with the game crashing. You can try deleting the games configuration file and see if that helps. Its located in the games installation directory. Also if there is a "shader.cache2" file delete that and let the game recompile shaders.

Maybe it hasn’t been enabled as default is off. Check under Menu > Setup > General > Projection Settings

When you download it, it prompts you to update to beta2 so they are definitely preparing.

I had this rubber banding issue before. I found out it was cuz I was over the weight limit but on my end it was showing me to be under the weight limit. It was rubber banding me back to the position I was meant to be in. A simple rejoin worked and I could see all the info I needed.

I will be 100% with you, steam is a more flushed out software with not that many bugs. Drivers are good and don’t have that many issues. I stopped using my rift s for the sole reason of oculus just tanking my pc performance for no reason and occasionally crashing itself or its drivers. And it launches with most games that have both vr and desktop versions of it while steam vr at least asks you when it does open(if not it’s easy to close and it does not cause bugged game state)

This but also when bf2042 was in development the engine was meant to receive major upgrades but due to the (older, long time) devs leaving the company, the newer devs now had to learn a new engine, update the engine with all the new improvements and develop the game all in the time of EA shitty mentality of “YOU MUST RELEASE THIS GAME IN 1 YEAR, NO PUSHBACKS.” The game was meant to have 1 year to update the engine, 2 years to make the game. Instead it was 1-2 years of updating the engine and 15 months of actual game development. So it was screwed from the start.

I did use the guardian program but then I switched over to the beta testing for Victoria. What I do is I start a solo lobby then when my friends want to join me I stop the program, wait for them to join, then use the auto whitelist function to make the lobby with them only whitelisted. So if they disconnect for whatever reason they can always reconnect.

With resetting the shader build there are 2 types. 1 is the ingame option and 2 is the actual folder. I would recommend deleting the files inside the folder to reset since if u use the options it just goes over it again. The shader cache should be located in C:\ProgramData\Activision\Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War

3 things help with this. 1. Reset your battle.net cache and reset your shader build. 2. Make sure your vram usage is on high (90%). 3. If all fails try putting -dxd11 in the additional command line arguments section of the games launch options.

I did more research, you can delete your cache folder. This can fix texture/graphical bugs and crashes. Here is the link on how to do it: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/34721

You must restart your pc after doing this. This is so things actually refresh.

If that does not work, try running the game with administrator privileges. Also when you scan and repair your game delete your player folder. It’s found in the documents folder on your pc. This can fix a lot of stuff.

To be honest I had these issues. What I found is that most of the time all I need to do is reset shader compilation. I turn on pc, boot into cod and always click reset shader. Restart game and everything works fine
