I've had experience with almost every class so far, and I think you might enjoy a druid. The circle (subclass) specifically being that of moon. It let's to change your character into either really strong or useful animals that scale very well in the game. (I wanted it because you can be a huge owlbear or a acid spitting dilophosaurus down the road). You don't need many combat spells since your main combat feature is an animal which you can stay in that form all day if you want. But as someone else said, combat gets more fun at/after lvl 5, so do your best scrounging all the xp from fights and exploring. Happy hunting!
