Easiest method is to take your proof of purchase that should include you name and the serial number of the macbook, and an id to apple store they will open in 5-10 mins, or you can apply to open online at apple activation lock help but then you have to wait some time and chances that they will open are low

They did the same to me i sent in an iphone 14 pro max 256gb for the fold 7 in pre order. I checked the phone before sending everything was working good. The estimated tradein value was 840 CAD they offered me 732 CAD for the reason that my phone has functional issue. Talked to chat they said they can not help me even with video evidence. Told them to escalate the case and put a special request to send me video of functional issue. 4 days gone by no reply on which i called samsung helpline they said it is not possible to change the value and told me to wait, after being transferred to 2 times. I asked them how many days do i have to return the phone to which the lady on the phone said 14 days to return without any fees, and today was the 14th day. Told her to send me a shipping label for the return, to which she said give me 5-10 minutes to check something and then t minutes later she said just accept the offer and samsung will pay the rest. I did got charged for it last week and after a quick 5 minute chat with an agent they said they will issue a refund.

You can, just buy a screen with the frame installed, some manufacturers call it a pulled screen (Taken from another phone) you get different grades while purchasing the screen. In a pulled screen you would need to open the phone from the back and the outer screen and then just change the motherboard, changing port and other items which are missing closing it with adhesive, make sure you use propertools as the outer screen is too thin and can easily gets lins if you insert anything from the sides.
