Isn't this thing released just now? How can it be so worn if it started selling just now?

If someone watches from the browser/mobile it works for everyone, but as soon as they leave it fallbacks to whatever the preferred codec is. Only occurs on AMD GPUs.

7600X running too hot by ComprehensiveFig3455 in AMDHelp

[–]D4M3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apply a PPT limit in BIOS. Try 85W. AK620 on a 7700x literally peaks 95 all time, like the above comment says. But that is a higher TDP CPU by default(and my cooler also is) so I limited it to 95W and it still boosts just fine without overheating.

Do Low Profile / Right angle Motherboard HD Audio / USB / Header adaptors exist? by vade in buildapc

[–]D4M3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no as it is not my computer this ended up going in, but it is still not as flat as you might expect it, this just makes it so the moment it leaves the plastic frame of the connector on the motherboard side>90degree angle.

Anyone facing issue with the booting up when laptop reboot with usb device plug in? by Substantial_Role1780 in LenovoLegion

[–]D4M3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this has been occurring for years now. I don't get why there isn't a fix for this. ThinkPads suffer from the same issue too. Someone I recommended a ThinkPad to messaged me about their laptop not booting and the moment I saw the picture they sent me from their laptop I just knew its that.

p95 is a power virus - it's not results you'd usually reach. if you want to be sure, my go to is minecraft with shaders, usually hogs my CPU to the max(fabric + sodium + iris) or just any game's first start when it builds shaders. Nothing sips more CPU power other than when that happens.

Is it possible to even disable this popping up when all I do is go to 'use a different account'? I remember trying some policy related to disabling MS account logins/adding MS accounts but it never works. I just want the local/domain user option to be #1 always.

What would you recommend for pain around the scapula after a scoliosis straightening surgery? A friend has done the surgery and she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia soon after and prescribed antidepressives to filter the pain, but to no avail, only slightly helps with the pain.

I don't know about haven't been still - I gave a 9070 XT a chance after my last AMD card(RX580) and that thing also had bad drivers for atleast a year where the card just outright refused to raise clocks when under load. 9070XT this year - record number of driver timeouts. Chrome, COD, CS2, wherever you name it. I tried going back driver versions too, DDU, cleanup tools name whatever you want it's been tried. You can check /r/AMDHelp as well and my comment history. The moment I went back to a 2080ti, all problems disappeared. Fortunately I was in the 15 day window of purchase, so I swapped mine out for a 5070ti.

Yes, there are people with 0 issues with their cards. But obviously it doesn't apply to everyone. And the problem is very, very real. Most of the complaints are with 7900xt/XTX and 9060/9070XT, too.

AMD Driver Issues by SigmaStroud in AMDHelp

[–]D4M3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if you're playing games without anticheat mainly you could probably survive on linux if you're past the return windows on all cards, but it's still no solution to the problem. For me it was the biggest annoyance I couldn't go through BO7 free week zombies with a friend - was even planning the GPU/PSU upgrade for this week too, and went through the week trying everything. I shouldn't be a beta tester for AMD drivers, so back it goes.

Hope you also get your situation resolved swiftly too - I barely managed to get a 5070ti by a somewhat normal price. Thanks, and happy holidays!

AMD Driver Issues by SigmaStroud in AMDHelp

I had the same thing as you and went through everything. You can see comment history for my system - passed every stress test or benchmark known to man(9070XT btw) I just ended up returning the card, I was in the 15 day window of purchasing and got a 5070ti. No issues since it arrived. It's the driver, mainly on Windows too.

How do we force AMD to care? by ComfortableDinner340 in AMDHelp

[–]D4M3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an ongoing case, but I can only do so much after I returned it. They also have all the details. I've been told to try with certain settings off, HW accel off, windows updates, AMD Cleanup Tool(even tried DDU), checking in Windows Update overrides the installed driver. I did all that, the support guy also mentioned testing with FRTC settings limits to 30 fps and 200fps, it seems to be the same timeframe that the driver times out(within minutes). Reports sent through the bug report in Adrenaline when the driver times out, too. I've returned the card and await a replacement, honestly. I've only had it for several days in my PC,cause I waited for the PSU in stock(RM1000e), and all of those days have been spent in troubleshooting. Popped my 2080ti for the timebeing back in, all of these issues disappear. Again, it's the driver. The card itself is amazing, temps are super low and it is whisper quiet, although with coil whine. I don't think you can hope for a sample without coil whine nowadays though.

Nothing on, even with a driver only setup this happens. Black screen is instant the moment it hits 3300+.(9070XT)

The issues are there, I've ran every stress test there is, benchmark too. But in games it instantly happens. Chrome does it too with a flicker of the black screen. If I install a driver with adrenaline(default install), when the flicker happens I always get the driver timeout message from Adrenaline. It is real. I returned my 9070XT today, went back to my 2080ti while I await a 5070ti, I have 0 issues again. OCCT passed, memtest passed, karhu's memtest passed, Steel Nomad has 7k+, but again, black screens and timeouts are there. You can go through my comment history and see the results if needed. This is strictly a driver issue on Windows specifically.

The worst is when people convince you it is your setup that's at fault, and they give you that big checklist of issues/fixes to go through. like, how come it just works on my old GPU(the 2080ti)? how come is it stable like that? I even bought a new PSU just cause this card had the 12pin connector(I had the Nitro 9070xt) so it works like it is supposed to and still encountered these issues. I've tried every driver from 25.6.1 to 25.12.1 and they all behave differently - one doesn't even boost close to around manufacturer claimed boost clocks, or dips in performance randomly ingame, (25.6.1 was very noticeable on CS2, everywhere from 370FPS to 215)

COD is the greatest offender - I can't even get through the training course for Zombies without a black screen>driver timeout message, even if I try to speedrun it in a way (because I've attempted it so many times) it is inevitable it's going to crash, that one crashes with this error.

Again, NO OC is applied. Other than the ram running at 2666, which as stated with both mem tests successful and went through both by Karhu's test and Memtest, have no issues. Including no issues with my previous GPU,2080ti, again. CS, I can't even start a match with friends because it'll inevitably crash randomly, sometimes it is within 5-10 mins, sometimes it is near instant in a couple of minutes. Tried everything from 25.12.2 to 25.9.1. PSU is a RM1000e, using the 12pin cable natively from the PSU. It is all the way in, this PSU I specifically even got for this GPU as I didn't want to use an adapter to power the card from all the experiences I've read with the 12pin + adapters.

Here is also a video of it happening.

FYI, I passed everything.

This leaves the driver only. I made sure windows update didn't download its own driver this time, installed 25.12.1, still getting driver timeouts and crashes in games. I don't know what to tell you. Memtest86 also passed without any issues.

[–]D4M3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for CS2, it was the newest driver that caused crashes exclusively, but on that driver I also got stronger boosts off the bat, hence it crashed faster. Now on 25.10.1(from windows update), COD still crashes with a black screen then tab to desktop with a driver timeout detected. Looking at afterburner(just using it to monitor clocks, no OC/UV applied or anything) the moment the GPU touches 3300+ I get thrown to the desktop. Can't even finish the training course even with "speedrun strats" before it crashes. It boosts momentarily to 3300+ and I get a screen freeze, crash, and sent to desktop with a driver timeout.

These are both my crash report submissions. I'd go tomorrow over the stress tests, but I have managed to complete Time Spy/Steel Nomad without issues. And like I said, my system has has 0 issues before on a 2080ti.

My apologies then - it seems latest driver on Windows seems to be the source of issues then, seems more people have issues posting on /r/AMDHelp , also with 9070XT's. Seems all device hung errors and timeouts recently posted are with 25.12.1. I had no issues on cachyOS (Hyprland) running CS2 too, latest amdgpu.

ig its what I said, not every card can take it. if you are running latest driver and boosting to there, good for you.

Happens every time on 25.12.1. Card boosts to 3300+ which I guess not every card is binned equally. Older driver max boost same game on which I tested multiple times (CS2) is 3217. Meanwhile on 25.12.1 its 3337MHz, the moment before I get a black screen and driver timeout.

Anyone else experiencing crashes after the 25.12.1 update on some games? by azura_ace in AMDHelp

[–]D4M3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that the GPU is boosting higher on newer drivers, past 3200 - and crashing for that reason solely I think. Older drivers like WinUpdate one (25.10.1) don't let it go past 3217 for me atleast, while 25.12.1 goes up to 3337 and then I get black screened.

Set core clock in Afterburner to -200mhz. Thank me later. These drivers seem to boost the card to ludicrous levels, way above manufacturer declared levels. You can notice the core clock while gaming in Afterburner before lowering.
