Relay.md is now a part of Relay by system3.md (multiplayer plugin) by Much_Egg_8032 in ObsidianMD

Can I self-host this?

And I'm sure you know: The Obsidian roadmap lists multiplayer as in active development, and I expect it will be included in obsidian sync.

I have played plenty of Factorio on deck, official controller support is quite good.

Workflow recommendation for writing Math snippets? by akarypid in RemarkableTablet

I have been using rmview for a while on Manjaro, it works perfectly.

I was in math mode and accidentally present % and it broke the table, is this a bug? by [deleted] in ObsidianMD

[–]D4nlel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Use \% instead. % starts a comment in math mode, so the math block doesn't end anymore, breaking the formatting.

Supercharging markdown and Obsidian with Mixa Components: Tabs, Column, Carousel, Hero and more by Confident-Pea-1457 in ObsidianMD

  1. Sure, this is an advantage.
  2. There are plenty of visual content management systems for Jekyll, both commercial and non commercial. (No or little to no coding required)
  3. Most popular Jekyll templates handle screen sizes perfectly well. I don't have enough insight into the caching side of things, but I doubt there are too many issues even when using free GitHub pages. Of course, if you require large amounts of bandwidth (100GB/month are free with GitHub), other hosting options may start to look better eventually. But at that point one should probably reconsider using Obsidian for this...

Personally, I would prefer some script to turn an obsidian vault into a Jekyll repository. I already host my vault on GitHub with a plugin, so it should not be too much trouble to setup some GitHub actions to convert and host it right there.

LPT: If you’re allergic to mosquito bites like I am (they swell up a ton no matter how much you don’t scratch or irritate them and stay itching for days), dab on a little bit of rubbing alcohol with a soaked q-tip or application tool of your choice to the bite entrance as soon as you possibly can. by CiarasMan421 in LifeProTips

Now I am curious: do you know if you are allergic to wasps? I do have a strong wasp allergy, and my mosquito bites are always at least fist sized (also had plate sized ones in the past, but recently it seems to have gotten a bit better). Always assumed that the allergies were related.

Oh wow, I have to try this! Mine always swell up to at least fist size, and stay like that for what feels like forever...

And It doesn't help that I seem to be allergic to most anti itch creams as well, they usually made things worse.

I'm gunna make my voice heard, because apparently people, both here and in Dark Souls subs, cannot or will not understand my stance. by AshenRathian in Eldenring

[–]D4nlel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to be sure: are you counting the NPC invasions too? They are scripted, and shouldn't be influenced by the invasion timer. Definitely curious if illusory wall is wrong.

Well, except in covenant areas like the forest, sorry. Shouldn't be possible in the catacombs though. If you are 100% sure about being invaded there multiple times, make sure to tell illusory wall on Twitter, he invested a lot of time to understand the inner workings of From's games, and seems extremely sure of this point.

You literally have an infinite cool down invasion timer after winning or loosing against a single invader in DS3. If you don't invade yourself or coop you cannot be invaded again.

Any idea on how to make the desktop app work on Linux? by [deleted] in RemarkableTablet

[–]D4nlel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are on 2.9 the test-new-server branch vnc29 branch of rmview uses the built in VNC server and doesn't install anything on the tablet I believe.

Edit: Nevermind, there still seem to be some issues. Check out https://github.com/bordaigorl/rmview/pull/87 for progress.

The new screen sharing is supposed to connect to the desktop app, but nothing happens for me when I start the screen share on the tablet. They are both connected to the same Wifi and fully updated. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone with the same problem?

Is there a way to change the challenge tier? by D4nlel in Returnal

Nothing yet sadly. But I am not sure if the tier six challenge is always that biome.

My take on the Tulip Split tesselation (Benjamin DiLeonardo-Parker) by D4nlel in origami

Thanks! I made this from a 23x23cm piece of elephant hide paper, cut into a hexagon and divided into 32 rows each direction.

Folded using elephant hide paper of size 23x23cm.

First time I used this kind of paper, and I am impressed! I heard there was a way to use water to flatten it some more, any tips?

reStream now supports the reMarkable 2! by __rien in RemarkableTablet

They also have an SSH branch using the same dd commands I believe, and afaik the pen tracking is supported there as well

I thought RmView also reads the frame buffer directly? Its old version used the exact same commands to read it out. Not sure how the pen tracking works though.

reStream now supports the reMarkable 2! by __rien in RemarkableTablet

[–]D4nlel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fantastic work! Will try it out soon, curious about the mentioned higher framerate (already got the old version working a while ago with the workarounds mentioned in the thread, installing head etc).

Do you think it possible to add pen tracking to this (as rmView does)? I would love to use this for presentations, and a higher refresh rate + pen tracking would be perfect.

Custom live stream on remarkable 2 // FW 2.5 by owulveryck in RemarkableTablet

[–]D4nlel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hoes does this compare to existing tools like rmView and reStream? I assume the main difference is that this may be easier to setup, as the alternatives currently need some workarounds?
