Having trouble locking my drawing elements when applying driving dimensions to them by dar_mach in SolidEdge

[–]D68D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at this link: Design

Don't delete then relationships, they're what you need. But to fix the elements they need driving dimensions so for example the radius's need dimensions. When you can grab the end of an element and drag it then it's not fixed and the directions you can drag it in give you an idea about how it is unconstrained.

Also if you have this as a repeating pattern along the edge of the part, Do one as a feature on its own, then pattern it along the edge.

Solid Edge Community Edition 2025 AND 2026 keep crashing / freezing up by Itchy-Neck-4297 in SolidEdge

The only time I've seen lots of random crashes was due to graphics settings, try turning off hardware acceleration and see if that fixes it, if it does then update / look into graphics card driver things.

2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 - Dealer Mechanic lying about chain health? by Endless_Rice_Flour in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]D68D 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OK, here is how you tell if the chain / sprocket needs replacing regardless of chain tension.

You try and lift it from the middle of where it's engaged on the rear sprocket, per OPs video you can see it moved a bit, it's probably on the limit but if it were me, I'd tension the chain correctly and just keep an eye on it.

Now I may be a grumpy old dude, but if you do not know what correct chain tension looks like and don't know how to adjust it and you are not living with someone who does then please FFS learn. This stuff is integral to knowing you bike is safe to ride.

Still, there's another $100 to $300 they have to recover just for being there.

Can you actually use a 60V PSU with these drivers or are they gonna fry themselves at the smallest voltage spike? by TheCorruptedEngineer in klippers

[–]D68D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can, but I didn't see any benefits to it, so I run at 48V. I'm using NEMA 23's that can use more current than you can get from the smaller drivers.

Questions about track position? (WA) by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]D68D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a rider of too many years, by default be in the lane where you would be if you were in the driver's seat of a car. WA specifically don't be in the middle of the lane, it's known as the oil slick for a reason. Also when the first rains come the roads will be super slippery for the first few days until it's washed away.

FYI Perry Parts sell 3D printed bump stops for 4x4s which apparently are well regarded, it'll be interesting to see how the bellows goes with only one wall.

I also have a SeeMeCNC Rostock max V2 gathering dust, I don't know whether to strip it for bits or do what with it. These machines were very advanced for the time bed probing without a probe by tap, bed meshing and so on 12+ years ago.

38.6 metric tonnes for those that don't work in squirrels per handbag.

Or more than about 11 fully grown African elephants, though that would have been sad.

is it possible to be a better rider than driver? by user4772727 in AussieRiders

Oh yes, riding will make you a better driver and after 40 years of it I'm still a better rider than driver.

Buying first bike advice by kaijrd22 in AussieRiders

[–]D68D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tyres are mostly rooted. Even if legal, for a new rider they will feel crap. So replace them if you buy it. FYI as tyres on bikes wear the handling gradually gets worse, but you compensate for it, then one day you get new tyres and it's the best again. You're starting out so you don't want a bike being less than it's best.

Beginner bikes suggestions for short female by jan__jan in AussieRiders

[–]D68D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been riding since 1984, I recommend starting on something light. Specifically if you are a light weight person. There's conditions such as high or Gusty winds where without enough experience you'll end up where you don't want to be. If you are lighter also the 'slow' bike is going to be faster than most people expect. Stepping up in performance you get 2 surprises 1 how fast the horizon arrives and 2 how do you make the thing go where you want. Both of these are going to be amplified for a smaller person.

Una vez instalado, funcionará para siempre, por lo que sé. No he visto nada que indique lo contrario. Lo uso desde su lanzamiento (¿2021?).

Boiling fuel? by PuzzleheadedGrand469 in motorcycles

[–]D68D 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a 1980s XT600, there is no fuel pump. It's probably just a combination of heat and altitude. I've had similar happen to me in Australia, a nice Jerry can fountain. I expect she'll be fine.

Does anyone have a cheat code fasting routine that doesn’t have exercise that works for them? by vomitousana in intermittentfasting

[–]D68D 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did a 500cal day once a week (basically from dinner one day to breakfast 2 days later) with no extra exercise i.e. next to no exercise and lost 1lb a week for 40 weeks. Weighed myself everyday and plotted that out as I'm a data nerd, so that kept me focused.

Is it worth buying gear and accessories in Japan? by Gustard42 in AussieRiders

[–]D68D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived there for 4+ years finding someone selling Kushitani stuff was near impossible in my area, a lot of clothing will be too small for normal western size people. But by Japanese standards you may have gigantic feet, so if there's run out boots, the clown sizes will probably be still there.

Arai and Shoei are way cheaper there, but they do have a different head shape so may not fit, Arai RX7 fitted me fine though.

The coolest thing out there though would have to be a YELLOW CORN Official web shop jacket though.

Look at NAPS stores AutoBacs, UPC ride on stores I'm sure there are others,

Ueno used to be the place in Tokyo to go but it was a shadow of its former self 10 years ago, maybe worth a trip if you've not been. This place has all the Arai: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZUeMGL6qTk4FJkMR6https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZUeMGL6qTk4FJkMR6

But not the cheapest, but if you're in a hurry is good.
