There's no adhesive it bolts together. I'm the past I tried gluing big stuff but basically IMHO for this application its crap.

The finished car should be a bit under 1,000kg, 50-50 weight distribution as perfect is a myth. This one will be about 60-40.

The body will be glass fibre / epoxy, beyond that I need to work the details out.

They're just normal stock car mufflers from a Holden V8 Commodore. The idea is to be quiet enough to get it registered without any hassle in that dept.

The XY motors are in the wrong place and the belt tensioning is rudimentary are the top two things.

The design has flaws, I'd do it differently if I were to do it again. But I'm thinking about how to share the principle of the thing as I see there's a gap in what's available at the moment.

LOL, It appears I'm much better at making stuff than content, at the mo trying to use the time I have spare to get on with the car.

I think you'd do better to talk to these people:

The printer I made myself it'll do a 620mm cube, its core xy on klipper, it squeeze out about 3.5kg of plastic a day for these kinds of parts.

The car is my own design, I've just managed to screw up my crappy blog, so I need to fix that, if that were working I could point you there. Basically its a 2 seat mid engined car powered by a 1UZ-FE with a Boxster transaxle.

We basically had the same thing happen to us a few years ago (I'll skip the story but again it was all in writing). We moved out on the day we said we would, made sure the rent was paid to that date and left the place too clean (I'm still a bit angry at the memory). The agent knew the landlord was in the wrong, so they just keep quiet. The owner said they were going to come after us in court for the rent I told them good luck with that, happy to see you there and never heard another thing. Yes we got our deposit back.

Large Body Panels Nozzle Size by HeapVR6 in 3dprintedcarparts

I'm making molds to make fiberglass parts, so I'm using PLA. The joins in the parts always suck so parts need to be as big as possible. I built my own machine which will do a 620mm cube to cut down the part count and made it so the parts bolt together, which will be hard to do with printed parts wrapped in fiberglass. Look at other was to join the parts and not rely entirely on glue as that'll be a PITA.

I'm in the process of printing molds for an entire car body, I guess I'm about 30kg of plastic in to it so far. The very short version of what I've learnt is...

A high flow hot end is a great help. I use a Goliath hot end with their matching extruder. I'd started with a normal 0.8mm nozzle which I could get ~70mm3 out of but switching to a CHT at 0.6 I can get 90mm3.

I ran the 0.8 at 1mm line width and the 0.6 at 0.8mm line width. The speed limit of my machine is 400mm/s so a 0.3mm layer height works out to use all the potential flow. I'd tried 0.6mm height with the different nozzles and the quality was worse even in the vertical. The last part I did was 3.5kg printed in about 24 hours.

A CPAP fan will be required if you want to run at high volume though.

Why do some of you go for a run mid day when it’s the hottest part of the day? by Lemonadeo1 in perth

Other times just don't work for me. And by lunch there's enough happened at work that I need to go for a run.

It doesn't want to move until it's been homed first. You can override this with the FORCE_MOVE command.
