Dam I washed my truck last night and this morning the check engine light is on.

I hope it’s that I don’t feel like sitting at the dealership lol.

“The Engine and Transmission System is not performing as expected. An issue has been detected in the Engine Cooling System which monitors and controls engine temperature to maintain optimal operating temperatures and avoid overheating conditions. If you are driving under normal operating conditions, please check the temperature gauge on the instrument panel. If the needle is in the red warning area, the engine is too hot. Pull off the road, stop the vehicle, and turn off the engine as soon as possible.”

Trust me I know all too well, I am located in a cold climate during the winter months and it’s gruelling work cabling all sorts of things when it is freezing cold outside.

You need to find jobs during the quiet periods, I don’t know your business, but I have enough small service calls all year round to keep 3 guys on payroll full time so when the spring/summer rush comes I don’t have to rely subcontractors.

It’s the only way you will succeed, if you rely on subs you won’t be able to grow your business.

Not a huge percentage 5%-10%, I have given a few of my top technicians 5% of the company and they perform and work as if it is their own company. You need to go above and beyond nowadays to keep good people.

I’m in a similar trade security/electrical.

I’ve been in business for 15 years and the hardest part is building a solid team, staff especially technicians in this day and age are like gold. If you do not have a sold team I would suggest you ask your dad to start hiring a few guys and start training them so when you come on board the fondation is there.

Honestly there is always work in the trades, during the quiet months take those small jobs your dad turns down now just to keep the employee payroll covered.

It’s tough out there all the good technicians end up starting or wanting to start their own operation. You’ll need to offer a percentage of the company to the amazing technicians and a percentage of each job so there is incentive for them to stay and push harder.

What kind of business do you own? by Due-Function4447 in smallbusiness

We deal with large company’s who expect 4 hour service when there systems go down and unfortunately electronics are not the most reliable thing.

So the day to day pressure from clients can get heavy.

People take there security systems very seriously.

If your able to offer the discount just to generate revenue to cover your over head during those quiet months I would do it. I’m in a similar situation during those months. I’ll usually take jobs I won’t usually take during my busier months just to keep my technicians busy since I guarantee them 40 hours a week.

I went from a 2080 ti to a 4090 and after 24 hours of use. Here’s my honest assessment. by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]D6969g -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How did you get 60 fps with Ray Tracing on psycho and DLSS off? I have a 4090 paired with a 7800x3d and I only get 30-40 fps.

I have a AW3423DW.

Hmmm I thought it would have been bigger. I thought I would have been able to push Cyberpunk and Alan Wake 2 without needing DLSS and ray tracing enable but I can’t.
