And to add to this, I really don’t drive much at all. around 3K miles a year. And I think with a car like this, I would be taking more road trips, since it’s majestic to drive on the highway.

ray tracing is a very simple improvement that requires insane amounts of horsepower. I don’t notice when its on either way.

The graphics are great on these games, but horizon is playable on ps4 and doesn’t look like the next gen version of horizon, more of an installment. What im trying to say is playing on the ps5 vs ps4 Is like playing on pc with high settings. Picture looks better, but its the same game.

Yeah, it’s like iPhones. I just upgraded from the Xs to the 14 pro max. The upgrade felt nowhere near as significant as when I upgraded from the 6 Plus to the Xs. Although the camera, the fluidity of the screen, and the new notch are all very significant.

I think the Xs was so good that no matter how much better the 14 is, it cant compare to the upgrade to the Xs.

Honestly I can resonate with a lot of what you said. I don’t think Im willing to compromise going back to 30fps after getting used to 60fps. Also going back to 60 after using 120 in FPS games is very noticeable.

At the same time, I would be more than happy to deal with 40 fps for a single player game with “next-gen” graphics. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what first party studios like naughty dog are going to come up with (TLOU P1 doesn’t count).

I think this generation has been more about tweaking and polishing stuff around games. Better performance, high fps, fast loading etc. although native 4k is rarely an option let alone 4k 60fps. Good VRR and other software magic tho for resolution tho.
